This is a place of inspiration wildlife promotion. A lovely building. With lots of examples of how to create wildlife in your garden. To top it off a fantastic wild flower nursery and soon a seed vault. Amazing.

Susan and her team pulled out all the stops to give everyone a rich and rewarding wildlife experience at the Sike Farm open day on 5 June. Sheep shearing, guided walks and meeting the animals was order of the day. In spite of being an outdoor based event the needs of the disabled were well catered for. A very successful day made more so by the volunteers infectiuos enthusiasm.

Nice location in Houghton, a village on the edge of Carlisle. Strange website. No real information as to what it is exactly and who can visit.In December 2021 I made a visit. It's more an admin centre building,BUT covid has stopped them doing indoor events etcThe grounds are free to explore and interesting. I plan to go again in the Spring to see how it looks when flora and fauna are more advanced. Very peaceful.
