Tailoresque

I bought a second hand wedding outfit. I tried it on and everything about it was wrong. The fit was terrible and it made me feel horrible. I went to see Gill at Tailoresque. She was lovely. She got me to try it on and began pinning. She said the outfit would be ready in about two weeks, which it was. I went for a fitting feeling very anxious. As soon as I tried it on It felt good and I felt happy. It looked so much better than before. Thank you so much for all you have done. Amazing.

I have used Gills Alteration services when she live in London, I always found her work exemplary and timely and a very pleasant person to deal with. It’s a real shame she’s now based in Bournmouth, their gain is our loss. Good luck with your new venture.

Gill did the alterations for my wedding; my dress and 3 bridesmaid dresses. My dress arrived and the lace did not lay flat at the top. Gill took the lace apart piece by piece and re-built it to make it perfect. She also completely reworked one of the bridesmaid dresses by taking fabric out of the skirt to make it fit my youngest bridesmaid better. I was very pleased with her work and would highly recommend.

Totally unprofessional and unreliable - I bought a pretty summer dress which needed alteration as I'm way below average height. She was quick to take the dress, promising it would be done in about a week. I waited for two weeks, then went there to ask if it had been done. She said oh

Let down on date of fittings (just by chance as my mum called..thankfully she did as no-one bothered to call to inform the business will be closed on that day now apparently.) I imagine we would have turned up and no one be there! Despite multiple people on that day specifically travelling down to allow for fittings.This was booked months in advance to save the stress and to make sure 6 bridesmaids could be fitted in.To then be told that day would be okay and will get back to us on timings as the afternoon wouldn't be suitable anymore. No e-mail or verification came. So we will not be using this business or be recommending to anyone. Completely unprofessional and lack of customer service.Thankfully we have found another seamstress that is reliable and could squeeze us in on an already busy schedule!Edit: the morning wasn't suitable for us as two of the girls couldn't get to Dorset until the afternoon; hence the afternoon booking that we made months ago. We didn't receive any confirmation but thanks for your reply.

Gill is so talented, she did alterations to my wedding dress and she was so helpful explaining what to do and making suggestions to help me feel more comfortable.

Gill completed the alterations on my wedding dress a few weeks ago and I cannot thank her enough. She did an amazing job, with all the fine detail adjustments I had asked for, and also steamed my dress in prep for the big day. Her prices are very reasonable too!! Thanks again!

Gill heads a team of highly talented people. I took in a sari my late husband brought me from India many years ago. I hadn't worn it in a long time but it was such a gorgeous fabric it was a shame to keep it packed away. Gill's suggestion was a maxi dress, Chinese style, and with an upcoming cruise in mind the decision was made. The result was a truly beautiful dress, expertly cut and made to make full use of the beautiful material. I will wear it with pride on my cruise and in that way my husband will still be with me.
