Better Gym

Very dirty, always very busy, not enough benches available, nobody put away the weights after using them

Soft play is great for kids and family. A bit cold when we came 3d of December around 9.30 am.Coffee is cold in Coffee machine.

Isn't the beat managed gym at peak times, though there is consistency. I've took a star for that.

COVID update: The lockers have restricted usage during COVID to enable social distancing. However, there are now not enough lockers. I had to go to the gym and carry my bag around with me, which wasn't ideal. The odd thing is that I've been to the gym probably 10 times in the past month and I've never been in the locker room with more than two people in the whole room, so the locker restrictions look like overkill.£15 joining fee is steep.£30 p/m for this gym is also steep. It's nothing special, just a normal gym. The locker area is shared men/women and it's not particularly nice.Many of the locker keys have the locker number written on them but smudged/worn off...I often take a photo of my locker number on the locker before I leave to exercise.To be clear, unlike other gyms you cannot bring your own padlock to this gym's locker room.For no joining fee and £25 p/m, that's reasonable for the standard. In Mile End you have few choices for gyms so Better gets my business but I couldn't recommend it.

The good: membership fee is fairly affordable, good variety of facilitiesThe bad:1. Rude staff on more than one occasion. This is the first time at any gym I've had a staff member interrupt my question within 3 seconds and literally say what do you want?"

I’m very disappointed. The jacuzzi hasn’t been working for over three months, and I called today and find out that it’s gonna take another three months. The man was rude and disconnected before I could ask any more questions. Not only that, they take the whole annual payment, and then limit the resources we can use. At least we should be offered a reduction.

This Gym has the potential to be 4 stars if they had some form of management.Out of all the gyms I have been to over the past 15yrs this one is in a league of it's own due to the lack of management! Shocking how they are charging full membership for such a neglected gym! Whoever is in charge of this place should be embarrassed!Such a shame as the gym is actually quite decent if the equipment and overall hygiene of the gym was maintained!Multiple machines out of order" for weeks running into months! Some of the equipment is borderline dangerous due to being worn out or not maintained.I read a review where someone wrote "finding weights are like going on a treasure hunt" hahahahaha very accurate statement!If there is a management and they do this review

A lot of work has been done to improve the experience. The café is a nice addition. Machines are fixed in a more timely manner. If only now they would work on the attitude of some members and some increasingly erratic daily characters.

This is the first time I’m giving bad a review on google. Terrible customer service. Decent equipment. More expensive than better gyms out there and not worth the money at all.
