We spent an afternoon in awe at Lucid Coffee Coasters, learning a fraction of Stephen's knowledge about coffee roasting. It was absolutely fascinating and he was so patient with our questions! We had our first cupping session and tasted beans from around the world, picking our favourites to bring home. As newbies to speciality coffee, we'd really recommend a session at Lucid!

Recently I was lucky enough to spend a fabulous morning at Lucid Coffee. Learning the journey a coffee bean has before it ends up in your v60/chemex or espresso machine is an extraordinarily intricate process, one that I hadn’t fully appreciated until I met Stephen at Lucid. He could have blinded me with the science of it all, but he pitched it just right(his knowledge and enthusiasm for his craft is infectious).They say that time flies when you’re enjoying yourself and it most certainly did that day, but not before learning about cupping - tasting and smelling the different flavour qualities of beans and roasts which help Stephen to develop flavour profiles, consistency and quality of his coffee.I absolutely loved it. If you get the chance to experience this, go for it.
