Fantastic beef brisket & brisket burgers, plus points to the restaurant for having sanitary products in the ladies room!

Everything about our dining experience was fantastic. Great service, great atmosphere and the food was all amazing. The men all enjoyed sampling the different craft beers . Our two birthday girls had a great time. Something on the menu for every appetite...Will definitely dine here again.

Part of the reason we moved to St Albans was because of this restaurant! (And many other wonderful places here. )We always go for dinner at Craft&Cleaver, but last weekend we tried brunch. It turned out to be a right decision. The brunch menu is a bit different and had what my partner always wanted — burned end. I ordered friend chicken & egg. It was as good as a specialised brunch place. And service is great! Staff are really helpful and friendly. Definitely will come often.

Great vibe in the place, helpful staff, nice beers. Food was a disappointment - good quality meat but so dry and stiff - felt like the burnt ends had been cut for a long time. Too much oil on the salad too. My hubby had the beef rib, I had pork ribs and ends - large portions, but have had a lot better for £30 a head.

Absolutely an amazing experience and wonderful 'date night' venue. We had outdoor heating in our cubicle, with friendly staff and the food was fantastic! Very tasty, very satisfying and good portion. The desserts were to die for too. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for welcoming us and giving us a great night out.

Delicious brunch, we had the brisket and eggs, fried chicken on sourdough with hollandaise and side of French toast fingers. A really good recovery breakfast, if I was local I'd be here regularly. Was surprised it was quite quiet for the bank holiday weekend, we arrived about 1030 but maybe it gets busier nearer lunch. Staff were friendly and quick service.Highly recommend the brunch!

Craft and Cleaver is a great place for BBQ food and drinks.Beef rib had a nice bark on the outside and smokey flavour, and was decently tender. Overall it was excellently cooked. Personally I would prefer a little more sweetness and a little less heat but that’s personal preference. The chargrilled lemonade was really flavourful and had a good balance of sweet /sour.The Mac and cheese was excellent, couldn’t fault it or the pulled pork topping. Fries were great too and were consistently seasoned (not just the top).Service was great. Would also like to have seen traditional BBQ staples like corn bread and collard greens on the menu. It’s pricey, but the quality is there to justify it, and overall is a formidable entry to the UK BBQ scene.

We shared the BBQ platter and had a few cocktails. The atmosphere was busy and the food was good, meats cooked really well etc, but there was just a little spice and variety missing for us. The cocktails were decent, and the price for everything seemed reasonable (~£100) for two people. Would definitely try again and recommend.

It’s a nice place to go for BBQ food but the quality to price isn’t the best. The chicken wing bones had a very deep red colour so whilst the sauce had a good flavour, it’s likely they were from frozen. At £10.50 for 6 it seemed on the pricey side. We had the brisket and the short rib as a main and they were okay. The short rib was soft and well cooked and was probably the highlight. The tots on the side were also really nice.Overall, we didn’t find it mind blowing as the cost of the food and drink compared to the quality of the dishes received didn’t really match up.
