Bryn Williams Mountaineering

I did my RCI training with Bryn and had some of the most useful 3 days. From the get go he was down to Earth and friendly. He had an answer to every question and a reason for every one of his answers. Each day was full but he made sure there was time for each person on the course to ask questions, note take and reflect as they needed. A super comfortable environment to learn in and felt so confident by the end. Can't recommend him enough!

I recently did my ML training with Bryn and it was excellent. I had also done my RCI qualification with him before. Both training and assessments with Bryn are delivered at a really high standard but with an indepth, relaxed and enjoyable approach.I will continue to use Bryn for my outdoor qualifications and can't recommend him enough.

Bryn has been one of the best of not the best instructor I have come across. I attended RCDI training with him a few months back. I went into the course quite nervous as some people had made me rethink if I was ready or not to attend such course, but asoon as we got going I was comfortable and enjoying everything with confidence. The course was everything I needed and more to improve skills, knowledge and confidence i my own ability to then go away and fine tune what I needed in the future. Bryn was patient, professional and a great laugh making the whole experience something I will defiantly see as a template for my future.

I have previously undertaken both my Rock Climbing Instructor training and assessment with Bryn together with two other occasions where I have been fortunate enough to have Bryn as an instructor. Based on these hugely positive and enjoyable experiences I booked to undertake my 6 day Mountain Leader (ML) training course last week (12 -17 March).I am pleased to say that despite what the weather could throw at us (melting snow, temperatures close to freezing, gale force winds and torrential rain) the six of us (plus Bryn) survived and had an amazing; challenging but character building time in the Welsh mountains.Bryn is an excellent coach, instructor, guide, mentor and consummate professional. He has the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to impart complex information in a way that is easily understood and at a pace where the information was easy to digest and put into practice. This immense experience and knowledge enables Bryn to use different teaching styles to match individual needs and ensure understanding.Everything was explained clearly and thoroughly in an appropriate context. Feedback was always given in a positive, patient, constructive and encouraging manner with an emphasis on personal growth and development. Bryn uses his experience to adapt his style of leadership as required to fit any situation, impressively leading by example as an exceptional role model. He is hugely supportive and an excellent motivator who has the ability to criticise and deliver 'bad news' in a way that has positive outcome.The courses was delivered in a relaxed, fun, enjoyable and inspiring style. This was the atmosphere that ran throughout where everyone benefited from the perfect learning environment.I cannot recommend Bryn and his team highly enough to anyone looking to go through Mountain Training qualifications or engage him as a guide or instructor and will certainly be booking with him and returning to undertake my ML assesment.Thanks Bryn.

I attended Bryn's Mountain Leader Training course a couple of weeks ago and can highly recommend it. The content was great and delivered in a way that was clear and comprehensive. I came away having learned a lot, gained confidence in my knowledge and enthusiasm to work towards assessment. Bryn has many many years of experience in the outdoors, from leading groups, teaching and as part of the mountain rescue team. I have Just completed the Mountain Leader Training with Bryn. It was an excellent week from start to finish, the course content was a perfect balance of freedom to practice navigation skills and advice and development with the key skills. The delivery is very professional and contains some invaluable insight into the professional side of the mountain leader world.I definitely recommend this course and willBe continuing further training and assessment with Bryn in the future.

I’m very happy that I chose Bryn to train me as an ML. He is an authority in mountaineering and I learned a lot from him. He delivered it professionally and at the right pace of the whole group. No question seemed silly and we all felt we were in a supportive, healthy and welcoming learning environment.

I've just completed my Mountain Leader journey with Bryn (training and assessment) and I would recommend him without hesitation. Both training and assessment were run in a laid back, friendly way without stress or pressure. The assessment felt just like the training, an opportunity to learn, share experiences and explore all aspects of being a Mountain Leader. It was clear from the off that Bryn and Dan wanted nothing more than for us all to pass and leave with even more knowledge than when we started.I will absolutely be using Bryn for any future qualifications.

Really well run course and assessment process. Plenty of advice given and a very supportive approach throughout.I’ve learnt so much and view the mountains in a completely different way now.I highly recommend Bryn as a course provider.
