There is a very toxic environment amongst the staff here. Senior managers are bullies and in their own clique. They treat the other staff like dirt, meanwhile they all swan off on expensive holidays together. You would think as a charity they would have kinder dispositions, but no, this is certainly not the case. A friend of mine rang up to enquire about viewing a dog to adopt, and was met by a rude and arrogant woman on the other end of the phone. From personal experience I can say this place is a shambles from head to toe, the managers are incompetent and have zero emotional intelligence. If you don’t want to get treated like rubbish I suggest you highly avoid this place.

We went for cream tea and sanctuary tour. All the animals big and small are well looked after with plenty of enrichment. They rely on public donations to help with the costs of heating, food, and vet bills and general running costs.... all the staff that we met are very knowledgeable about the animals in their care. They have resident animals, which, due to age or health requirements, will never be rehomed, and these can be sponsored. I will definitely be adopting from here. I understand why the prices are as they are, because they want the animals to go to the right homes, and know that they will be cared for to the same extent, plus it helps to cover the cost of the animal a little, up to the time they leave the sanctuary....If you are looking for an animal, please consider adopting first xx

Brilliant animal sanctuary with a wide range of animals rescuing and rehabilitating. Had a cat from them before and have reserved another. Great place. Great work. Lovely grounds. Worthy of support.

Highly disappointed when popping into Woodside for a chat regarding being interested in adopting a dog. The lady at the desk seemed to be making it her vital duty to put us off! Felt very judged as a young couple walking in there and stating we liked a particular dog but that we are open to any that would fit our situation. We are luckily in a financial and timely circumstance where we would love to rehome a deserving dog, rather than purchase a puppy. We felt unwelcome and that we would never be considered to give a dog a great, loving home.Hopefully Woodside read this and change their attitude to strangers coming in and enquiring about trying to do something good. Very very very disappointed.
