We had a celebration for a 90th birthday at The Mill, last night. Amy and the Team went out of their way to deliver an excellent experience - so grateful to them for all that they did for us, including decorating the table with balloons etc, before we got there. A real credit to the pub!

The food is awesome as always. One star less as we had to wait more than an hour for the mains to arrive but the staff were good otherwise

Great pub grub, I had the fish chips and mushy peas and it was delicious worth all the money! It came out hot which was a plus for me. The waitress was lovely, very pleasant. My friend had cheese n onion pie and she said it was delicious. Lots of parking,need to put your registration number number on a screen you first come in,for free parking. It was a clean tidy and well maintained pub. Had a great time in here will definitely be returning!

Stayed at the Premier Inn next door and had our evening meal at the pub. Staff very friendly, service and food couldn't fault. Would definitely go back there, if we lived closer.Comfortable atmosphere

Love this place. Have been coming here for about 15 years now! Back when it was The Eggerton. Always had lovely meals here, staff are always polite and friendly. Atmosphere is always nice and always lovely and clean.

Lovely staff, good choice of food and very reasonable prices. Large screen tvs all over the pub which were a distraction and weren't necessary.

Lovely decor great service from staff.Food was sooo nice belly pork melt in the mouth, I had braised steak and onion with mash and green beans which I don't normally eat but I ate every one.The hubby had black pudding apple bon bons with a bacon cream sauce as a starter then fish chips garden peas bonus was battered salt and vinegar scraps.Cherry bake and ice cream perfect dessert to end the meal off. 10 out of 10..

Really good Location opposite the countess of Chester hospital.Very well kept, clean, friendly staff, reasonably priced,Food came out hot, and was really nice!They have music playing in the background which covers alot of genres..Just becareful on the car. Park as it is a pay and display, I'm not sure if you get that back or if it's free for restaurant users as we went with an elderly relative and they have a disabled badge.Over all I recommend a visit as you wouldn't be disappointed.

We were on an overnight stay for Chester Christmas Market (4 adults)We chose to dine at the Mill and was extremely disappointed when we received our foodThe Sunday lunch was cold meat was very stringy unbeatable the veg was like rubber.The only decent meal out of the 4 meals we ordered was the curry.We left all the food we ordered apart from the curry.The assistant who took out full plates asked if everything was OK with the food and when we said no it was cold and uneatable she said its probably because it is getting towards the end of the evening ( total excuse).
