Lovely items in shop, owners very friendly

Just discovered this beautiful shop today! Fantastic selection of fabrics and everything else you require to create your own piece of artwork from cloth. Wander round and feel inspired by others handiwork. . . . Steal some ideas for yourself! The gentleman was so friendly and helpful, advised me on fabrics, wadding, needle size and how to set up my sewing machine. Gave me a loyalty card which I will enjoy filling. Could not find a bag so wrapped my bundle in blue ribbon! A hark back to Victorian shopping in it's heyday! Left the shop one happy lady. Thank you.

What a find! Lovely staff and a great selection of fabric. Treasures like lace, ribbon and ric rac all to be found. Highly recommend this Aladdin's cave of fabulous fabric. Found these new fabrics for my bee collection stash.

My favourite shop on the island. Such a wide range of lovely prints, good prices & island delivery, usually the same day for me in Ryde. The staff are so helpful & knowledgeable… It’s just a great place to go

I’d bought from the shop online in the past and was excited to finally visit, I was sadly disappointed although the staff were charming and friendly I was VERY uncomfortable, it wasn’t a particularly hot day but the heat inside was unbearable to say the least No open doors or windows I felt quite faint. The ladies I the sewing class all had fans as did the staff. I couldn’t find what I was looking for as nothing appeared to be in any order. However I did find a couple of things for other projects. What a relief to step outside again. In future I’ll stick to online if I knew of classes in advance I would have loved to have taken part. I travel with my featherweight.

I have only just discovered Stitching Elmer's, I ordered some material and 2 kits.Their service was brilliant. I placed the order on a Saturday and Lew said he would post them on Monday. They arrived on Wednesday. The kits were terrific all the material was precut ( the one thing I am not very good at) and the instructions were easy to follow.I have made a skirt for my granddaughter and have got 2 bags to make.I will certainly be sending for more when I have completed my projects.

Great for material and equipment.Friendly knowledgeable staff. Some free 1hr parking just a few yards away too.

What excellent customer service I get from this local family business. I have enjoyed visiting the shop in person but now we are in a pandemic - I am dellighted that the family have upped their game to offer local deliveries on the Isle of Wight for £1 and are offering global mail order. Delighted that usually I order one day and get the next. Recently I got caught in the lockdown away from home but have benefitted from the mail order and the speed of the service has been amazing.
