Very average London hotel in a reasonably run down area, felt out dated but staff were friendly and helpful

Started off well with helpful staff that let us check in and leave our bags early in the morning, but let down by everything that came after. It took multiple calls to got the our sofa bed put together, our TV - despite first being alerted to it before 6pm - was unable to be fixed because engineering had gone home. The name on the TV welcome note was not ours, and the entire in-room dining menu on the TV was out of date. And the less said about the dismissive, condescending attitude of reception when we were trying to resolve the TV issue, the better.

This is Dalal Buasalli from Bahrain, I have been a guest in Marriott Marble Arch london for 7 nights starting 12 November 2023.I have faced a very disappointing and disturbing incident during my stay.On Friday the 17th Nov between 7 -11:30 P.M. someone has entered my room, stole all my expensive belongings and left.Unfortunately, once this happened all the hotel did is just letting me call the police to report the theft. They have not been helpful in anyway. They did not check the security camera nor did they check the access card into my room.Once the police came to take the fingerprints in my room, the police has confirmed that someone has used a card to access my room. No one has broke the door lock and the door slams behind every guest once they leave the room. Therefore the police as confirmed in front of the security manager Mr. Francis I believe was his name this.Anyways the next day they told me that they will let me know about the access card report, and then suddenly they changed their mind.Mr. Mark and Mr. Shehab duty managers was also their during all this incident, still no one has help me with anything in any way. They just tried to accuse anyone else but any staff in the hotel.Later on the next day I have met Mr. Sayed Husain and still nothing was shared with me.Also, what kind of security have only a camera in the lobby and in-front of the lifts???!!!! What about all the lifts in each floor!! I don’t this this will invade any privacy of any guest!!I have checked out very upset and disappointed from the Marriot as this is not my first time to stay in a Marriott chain but sadly this was the worst experience ever.I have been robbed the following:- 5 designer bags ( LV, Prada, Mulberry, Chloe and Strathberry)- 2 shoes ( Versace and Tory Burch)- 2 sunglasses( Dior and french designer)- 2 perfume ( Kilian, Estee lauder)- 1 vest ( Hackett)- 2 scarfs ( Givenchy and Jimmy choo)All the stuff thatI was robbed is with approximately GBP 4,000!!!!!The believe is a regulated that the hotel is responsible for the safety of the guest and his belongings during his stay, unfortunately this did not happen to me. They had make it like its no one’s responsibility and that no one has lifted a finger to do anything about it!I have informed Bahrain Embassy, Saudia Arabia Embassy, Qatar Embassy and UAE Embassy about my robbery in the hotel. Therefore all GCC Embassies are involved now in this incident. The Hotel is responsible and hold accountable for each and every guest security during his stay!!! The security level in the hotel is rates zero! Anyone can come in and go out without even asking them if they are a guest. Housekeeping are opening the doors to any room for anyone that just states that this is their room( this happened to me today).I request a compensation for the hotel which is the least they can do to refund me my full stay amount I have paid for my stay GBP 2,200 and sadly recieved the worst treatment during my stay.I have emailed the Hotel manager Stephanie Segoura and I got the uncompensated reply.I believe the most important thing for the hotel is the security of the guest and his belongings! Therefore the hotel is hold accountable for anything missing from the room at during the stay and anything goes missing is responsibility of the hotel.I believe the reputation of the Marriott hotels chain is a massive concern to the management and I as a victim is also a concern of the management. What happened to me was unacceptable and the hotel’s reaction was unacceptable.RegardsDalal Buasalli
