Pillars House

The host Craig was very helpful and accommodating. He even helped us with a very late check-in. The price good, and the rooms' accommodations also very good. Bathrooms were nice, and my room had a Smart TV.Small downsides are there is no breakfast provided (instead you get some yummy breakfast snacks in your room and are allowed to use the kitchen minus the stove), and that it is fairly hard to get there from the airport.However I understand that they are inaugurating a new high-tech tram system very soon (visited April 2023), so I think any problem imposed by the distance from Edinburgh proper and the airport will soon be reduced greatly.5-star stay, would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for 3 nights in december and we couldnt fault it.The rooms we had were great.the fridge stocked with various was a nice touch.although breakfast wasnt available we got some bread and used the toaster in the kitchen.Its a 30 min walk to edinburgh centre but that wasnt a problem.Its also near to leith and all the bars and restaurants there.As it was the wifes birthday she was given a bottle of prosseco which was a lovely thing to do.When we come back we will be coming to pillars without a doubt..Thanks for a great stay.

Lovely, cosy, clean, welcoming place to stay. Craig met us on arrival and kindly gave us a street map of Leith and Edinburgh, also, gave us info on area and good places to eat. Kindly showed us where to park the car, nothing too much trouble. Thankyou for taking the time, nice to feel welcome. Very friendly and helpful, met Anthony next day, also very friendly. Had the best nights rest, comfy bed, and, heating on the whole time if you wanted your radiator left on, lovely. Snacks, drinks, fridge, kettle in the room, which is lovely and appreciated. Would stay again if in the area, for sure, had a lovely time. Thankyou for a great stay.

Great place to stay for a visit to Edinburgh. Friendly staff, great location!

Brilliant hosts. Allowed me to leave my bags early and helped me the morning after my sisters wedding when I got lost and ended up at the flats upstairs, couldn't find my way to my room (it had been a heavy night before and I'm not a big drinker) I was mortified and the lovely man wasn't phased at all. We will definitely be returning thanks so much.

Family run, friendly place. Decor and fittings a bit tired. Compared to staying in the center of Edinburgh, the price here is very good. Leith is a 15 minute cycle ride or 20 minute bus ride into the center of Edinburgh. Leith itself has a few nice restaurants down by the waterfront, although there are several parts that are a bit “sketchy”. I imagine it’s not the safest place to be on a Friday or Saturday night, when the young lads leave the pubs.

Stayed on Friday night, could not fault the place, excellent value for money, was aware that breakfast was not available but did not expect the mini fridge, croissant, iron bru, water and coffee etc. Beds are nice and comfortable and showers were small but fine. Cheers

Warm welcome from the young man (son) with plenty of useful conversation and patience after a long journey. Didn't miss the breakfast but would have been nice. Would go back as easy access on the new tramline. Brilliant district for a wander too, going down to the waterfront cafes, restaurants.thank you.

This was a great find. Not your typical stay for two people but we totally loved the place. The owner’s were outstanding. We learned a lot about area and they had great recommendations. We loved it so much that we added it to our return stay. Perfect spot in the heart of Leith. Beautiful location and everything we needed. We truly enjoyed our freedom there and use of the kitchen.
