Period Mouldings - Architraves and Skirting Boards

This company is the best, I have recently ordered some skirting from them and unfortunately when it had arrived, the skirting was not primed as was originally requested.It took one phone call, the person who I spoke with dealt with the matter immediately and professionally.Within two days, I got the skirting delivered, mind you I am based in london and they are up north.Mistakes happen, but its how a company assures you and resolves the issue that matters the most.The quality of the wooden products and the range they have, its exceptional. We will be using them again on our next house move.Thanks

Don’t pay extra for the primed stuff as they don’t seal the knots so I’m going to have that awful yellow bleed through. Waste of money given they’re not cheap productsIn response to their reply. The problem was on the whole order, both the architraves and the picture rail. I gave you ample opportunity to sort this without my review and you chose a slap in the face 5% refund. If you are selling products as primed, that's what they should be. Not products with knots that bleed. It's not a big job to seal them but unsealed and primed means yellow bleed and you're selling at a premium price so this should be included. You chose not to resolve it for me so I am sharing my experience for others to make their own decision.FYI for anyone reading this Skirting 4 u do very similar products at a fraction of the price

Ordered a picture rail for the front room - came within the allotted timescale and the pine is very good quality (few knots, no warping). Very happy.

Have recently had a delivery of one of the super range of architrave products. My joiner was impressed with the quality and they are now installed and look great.

I had a mixed experience with this company. Their website is excellent and my order of Coniston mouldings was processed quickly. However, when I went to use it I noticed that the rebate that should have been added to the back of the mouldings was absent and that the dimensions of the profile differed by about 2mm between the different lengths which made mitring them together neatly more or less impossible.I emailed twice with photos of the issues I had experience but did not receive a reply. I then phoned on four separate occasions and was fobbed off each time with a variety of excuses; We'll get this sorted and get back to you"

I am extremely pleased with the architrive and skirting that I received. Customer service was excellent. I would definately use them again.

Had a few deliveries of woodwork from period mouldings, the product seems really good, and the customer service has been greatA few gotchas that I didn’t realise, being a bit of a novice:It’s a natural material, so the lengths and profile might vary a fair bit - I.e. each length isn’t going to be exactly 3600mmThe delivery time is somewhat varied due to manufacturing, so order in advance of your projectThey don’t seem to provide tracking number as standard in the dispatch notification, but were very helpful and did send it to me when I asked for order status via email

We ordered a number of lengths of architrave and unfortunately 1 of the lengths was badly split when we received it. We emailed Nicole at customer service on the Sunday evening , we had a reply early Monday morning and received a FOC replacement piece Tuesday morning. The project was not held up due to their great service. first class service, many thanks

Disappointed.When I came across this company, I was so pleased. It's so important for period property owners to be able to source accurately recreated architectural details when renovating.Sadly, I have had a disappointing experience. We ordered some architraves via our contractor to match our Georgian property renovation. When they arrived they turn out *just* not to fit in some places.We decided that we would go back to the company and request to exchange the architraves for another of their products. We had assumed that such an exchange would be reasonable provided we cover the cost of delivery. The company Ts&Cs do not cover exchanges, so we assumed that would be fine. Many companies offer free exchanges.Unfortunately, the company would be treating this as a return. Their terms for returns are punitive. They will accept returns for a 50% restocking fee plus delivery charges (in their Ts&Cs, sure, but IMO unreasonably high). We would then have to purchase any new products as part of a new order/invoice. We won't be doing that. By the time we pay all that, we would barely recover 25% of the original cost. We are going to take our business to a different supplier.Understandably, we will not be using this company again. We have plenty more purchases on our project but we will steer clear of this company. I will also be emailing the Listed Property Owners Club to make sure other members don't make the same mistake as we did!
