Scott and his team carried out extensive work on the tired and weathered exterior of our house in the West End of Glasgow. There was a significant amount of cement based repair work to pointing and a gable-end that was all replaced with a finish that was extremely sympathetic to the original stone and colouring. The team also repaired and replaced damaged stonework, front and back including the bringing back to life some of the ornate corbels above our front door. In addition, a low wall at the front of the house was repaired, re-pointed and extended.At all times, Scott and the team kept us fully informed of progress, what work was being carried out, why and when. Recommendations from Scott were considered from all aspects, and the whole team's pride in their work was evident throughout the project.Punctual and always keeping the site clean and tidy.The end result is a beautiful exterior that has been restored to its former glory.I would highly recommend Scott and Stratum.

I would like to thank The Stratum Masonry team for doing such a great job on refurbishing the stonework at my house in the west end of Glasgow. The stonework had been repointed in cement mortar in the 1960’s which had caused extensive damage to the stone. This was removed and repointed with lime mortar. Also numerous stone indents were undertaken. The quality of workmanship is first class and it has made the house look amazing.It is 100 years old and now will last another 100 years.Thank you Scott and his team.

We were very pleased by the standard of work provided by Stratum Masonry. The level of communication throughout the process was excellent and we were kept fully informed of progress from the beginning to completion of the work restoring the gable wall of our house. Tommy and Callum, who worked on the wall, were always punctual, carried out the work to a very high standard, were very approachable and always explained each step in the process. Scott and his team at Stratum dressed, replaced and repointed stonework at the front entrance of our Victorian blond-sandstone home, as well as replacing the entrance steps. Stratum have recently repaired a stone wall which was flaking badly in parts with sections having concrete on. The replacement with new sandstone, properly dressed and the appropriate mortar have resulted in a wonderful job on a listed cottage. Everyone comments on how well it looks; staff were a delight and took great care, and overall we are very pleased and would be happy to recommend this company.

We contacted Stratum masonry a little after the summer to repoint our entire house. Scott came over promptly to inspect and quote. He was upfront, honest and spoke through the project to clarify things we didn’t know/understand. The quote itself was thorough and was marked with coloured lines to show exactly what the project will encompass (repointing, new stonework, covering stonework). The team who came to complete works were great. Tommy and Callum were respectful of our property and always updated us at the end of the day when they could. Work was completed on time and lots of extra bits that were uncovered were fixed. All teams who were on site treated our house as if it were their own. Scott kept in regular contact with us about any issues that popped up and to give a rough idea of timescales remaining. We ran into an issue with our front millions needing replaced and Scott spoke through the options available, gave realistic timescales and dates/times for when the team would be back on site.
