Tuff Tarts Clothing

Not only do they sell stuff from aliexpress for 5x the price, but while a friend and I stood outside waiting for our other friend to finish in the vintage shop, staff from a hippy stall opposite and tuff tarts staff started talking about us (weren't too careful about it as we heard everything said) saying they should watch out for us and started accusing us of shoplifting, then even said haha and they always look so embarrassed when they get caught"Won't even bother looking in these stores next time I visit. Very rude and unprofessional. As if I'd want to steal the cheap tat being sold there anyway"

Resells from shein, aliexpress, claims that the earrings there are ‘handmade’ but they are from shein for triple the price. Rip off tbh

I visit this shop every time I'm in Brighton. I'm autistic and am usually afraid to speak to people in shops I visit, but the staff here are so nice and very easy to talk to. Prices aren't too bad and some items were a lot cheaper than you would expect. Easily one of my favourite places to shop.

Super cool shop!! staff are nice and friendly, lots of interesting y2k/street clothes. Little bit expensive but it was cool :)

Love, love, LOVE Tuff Tarts! First found this place when I was 15, and I’ve loved it ever since! The staff are so lovely, and recognise my face when I come in, and the clothes are amazing! I haven’t been here for a while since I moved from Sussex to Southampton, but I really hope to come again some day.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!after seeing one of the tops I bought from this shop popping out as an advertisement of SHEIN on my instagram, I started researching and all the things I’ve ever bought from here are actually from Shein, but the seller is reselling them for twice of three times the price.the quality of this products is extremely poor and will break in less than a couple of weeks.When asked the owner (I presume) for explanation, she got really defensive and rude.it’s embarrassing that people are allowed to run such businesses.

ewww full of overpriced marked up shein stuff with the labels ripped out! How embarrassing to sell a £2 top for £15?! Hopefully closes down soon or moves out of the laines… I know it’s the staffs job to sell you things but the way they push you to buy stuff is not fair at all, you shouldn’t be making people feel guilty for choosing not to buy cheap low quality ugly tat...

This is a good store to find clothing from brands like Dead Threads or Banned Apparel. However, the shop resells cheap AliExpress and SHEIN clothing, accessories and jewellery for a much, much higher price. So if you see anything unbranded that you like, my advice would be to use those apps instead. The store itself is also very cluttered, the clothes aren’t really organised into categories/groups. So it’s hard initially to find something that suits your style.

I used to always pop in here for a browse. I’ve always bought lovely Banned, Hell Bunny & Collectif items in here at reduced prices plus they always had such a lovely selection of dresses and things in here. But the last couple of times recently, I’ve been really disappointed. There’s been nothing like I used to shop, none of the lovely dresses they always used to sell, it all just seemed a bit like cheap tat which surprised me. Then I came on here and saw all the other reviews saying similar things to what I found. The comments saying the items are from Shein and being marked up was quite shocking to read. Sure enough, I saw a T-shirt seen in Tuff Tarts, searched on Shein and saw it sitting on the website! Such a shame, as this used to be such a great shop. I would go elsewhere in the Laines to spend your money.
