We had an amazing 7day tour with Andy. We drove all around Scotland and had an incredibly wonderful time. Andy’s knowledge is extensive and we learned so much about Scotland and her beautiful people. We were able to travel in comfort and safety in Andy’s van. We learned so much and had a great time as well. I cannot recommend Andy any higher. If you want to get to know Scotland, go with Andy….

We did several bookings with Andy Marjoribanks for our time in Edinburgh, and we could not be happier. He was incredibly responsive to our numerous emails from the US in the months leading up to our trip, and so easy to deal with. In addition to some airport and other cab-type runs, we booked his two-hour overview tour of Edinburgh for the day after we arrived. He is extremely informative about Edinburgh/Scottish history and included some really interesting/less-visited sites for some of our stops. Andy is a smart, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable (and punctual!) man who is great fun to spend time with, and we felt very well cared for. Highly, highly recommend.

Andy is an outstanding tour guide who provided an excellent day long experience visiting Hutton’s “deep time” geologic experience at Siccar Point and a wonderful hiking trip along the Scottish coast at St. Abbs. Highly recommend him and his tours!

We booked the half-day tour for our weekend away, and are so pleased we did. With limited time it was the perfect way to see Edinburgh, visiting both the major landmarks and some hidden gems. This guided cab service is truly top notch. Our driver, Andy, tailored and coordinated all aspects of the trip well in advance of our travels. This included procuring our tickets for the Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, and the Stirling Castle. He even coordinated lunch at The Portcullis, a fine Scottish restaurant at the foot of the Stirling Castle.He showed up at our flat in a new Mercedes Van in full Scottish regalia. Personable and knowledgeable, Andy shared Scottish history, the layout of the land, and gave tips on driving. We highly recommend this service, but be warned—you need to plan well in advance as Andy has a very full schedule. Contact him early to make arrangements.Do not get confused with similar named tours, this is the original and the best!

I booked a West Highland tour with Andy as part of my wife's 65th birthday trip to UK. From the start, Andy was very accommodating, quick to respond to questions, and easy to work with. He asked if we had any specific sights we wanted to see, and offered to modify the tour agenda to make sure we had the best experience possible. We didn't need to change a thing - the West Highland tour already hit all the major sights, including a stop to feed hairy coos - something my wife has been talking about for months!On the day of the tour, Andy arrived promptly wearing his kilt! His van was spacious and clean, and was well stocked with snacks for the day.As we drove out of the city, Andy pointed out interesting facts and sights about Edinburgh before heading to the highlands. Andy kept the conversation engaging by telling us about Scottish culture, clans, history, etc. and answering our questions. There was simply nothing we asked him that he didn't know! He even gave us a few quizzes to test our knowledge of the area.One of our last stops of the day was at Rest and Be Thankful. There, Andy described the different kinds of scotch whiskies, and offered us a wee dram to sample. It was amazing.At the end of the day, Andy offered to let us drop our belongings at our flat, and he said he'd drive us to wherever we wanted to go for dinner! We didn't take him up on that offer, but it just exemplifies the kind of person and tour guide he is.We'd love to return to Edinburgh someday, and when we do, we'll call on Andy to set up another tour! My wife and I arrived in South Queensferry onboard a cruise ship and had just a few hours on shore.Thankfully, we had the good fortune of having Andy meet us at the pier, well before our scheduled time. Andy took us with his comfortable six-seater Mercedes to the beautiful city of Edinburgh, which was absolutely stunning.It quickly became clear that we were in the hands of a fabulous docent. Andy is a natural storyteller, and kept us engaged and entertained throughout the tour. He shared the city's interesting history, seasoning the facts with lots of amusing, moving, shocking or even creepy stories and gossip.He led us to the city's best viewing points, walked us through the Royal Mile from the Castle to the Palace and Scottish Parliament, and showed us lots of 'secret' marvellous spots that we would never have discovered without him. Our four hours together passed like a breeze, and we were thrilled when Andy agreed to add two more hours to our tour. If we didn't have to be back on time on the ship, we probably would have stayed with him until this very moment...We cannot thank Andy enough for the great time we had together. He is by far one of the most amazing guides we've had the pleasure to know. We highly recommend Andy as your docent for your next trip to Edinburgh. Just be sure to book him well in advance, as he is extremely popular and may not be available.

We had the most amazing tour with Andy! From the moment he picked us up, it was 4 hours full of history, insights, and incredible moments of seeing Edinburgh. This is a must if you are planning a trip and want to get the most in-depth understanding of the city, it's history and what would be important to do and see while in Edinburgh.We had a flight delay coming into Scotland and Andy was amazing at accommodating our new schedule...we were so grateful!Andy is an amazing tour guide and I would recommend him to anyone visiting this beautiful city!
