The Otter Inn
We meet some friends for an annual Christmas lunch and were not disappointed. We all had the turkey dinner apart from my husband, who had the pheasant, and we were all very happy with our food and the service. The staff were very accommodating for our children, offering an option of garlic bread instead of soup, which our kids were very happy about. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food delicious - best roast turkey I've ever had. The brownie for dessert was excellent as well. The price was excellent considering how good everything was. Thanks for a great experience. We'll definitely come back again next year.

We were welcomed with a cheerful member of staff and directed to a table. We waited only a few moments before we were asked for our drinks requirements that arrived promptly even though the restaurant area appeared busy. Our intention was for a carvery, but the choice of food available was outstanding. Once the food order was taken, we were directed towards the carvery. The choices of meats were plentiful. My only criticism was that it was carved very thinly and presented sparingly. The choice of vegetables, both roasted and boiled, were presented very well and full of flavour.The Pub and Restaurant are located in a beautiful spot on the banks of the river. We had a truly wonderful experience during our time here.

Such a lovely little country pub. Perfect for your kids (outdoor climbing frame) and dogs (shallow river). The food is always a good standard and the 2-4-1 menu has lots to choose from. The staff are always so friendly.

Pub has a large beer garden next a river which is great for dogs, unfortunately the beer garden is full of wasps, we were even warned about them by a member of staff. Ate indoors, service was fine but food very poor quality. £15 for a cheap frozen pizza. Had burgers here before which were equally mediocre. Very disappointing and won't be coming again. The owners could make big improvements by changing the menu and doing something about the wasps.

Lovely country pub by the river. Mandy and her staff are just amazing. They work hard and deserve the credit. 241 menu great for that quick stop off or the pocket pleaser and a daily specials board. It's been our local no matter how far across Devon we go.

The Otter Inn
Our second visit to the Otter Inn was as good as the first. Great food, good value for money (particularly the 2-4-1 menu), nice ales (I had a guest ruby ale - Pandemonium by South Hams Brewery, very nice!), Dog-friendly, clean toilets, nice atmosphere, pleasant staff and surroundings. We will be coming here more often.
