First time using RK Automotive. Very friendly team who were extremely quick to get my Disco booked in and repaired (thank you). Very happy with the service and I'll be back for sure.

Had the main chassis earthwire replaced elsewhere 3 weeks ago and since then my car has been flat spotting on acceleration all the time. It was running awful.I have an iCarsoft diag device and this gave code p2297 pointing to an oxygen sensor at bank 1. I also had the AA and a local firm connect their expensive diag devices and they reported the same code so was happy we knew what to look for.Called RK automotive and explained we didn’t need any diags and just wanted them to concentrate on looking for an air leak. I was told they would diag anyhow for other faults AT NO EXTRA CHARGE so i accepted and it was booked in.When I received a txt to pick the car up, Roy the owner began to give me a spiel of all the issues the car had including the door module faulty…..the doors has never faulted in 7 years ! I became suspicious of his reasoning and when he suggested the turbo would need replacing and the job would be north of £3,000 I told him no thanks and went to walk off only to be presented with a bill for £84 for the diag.Having told him I had not expected any bill given we had already done the diags he argued then swiped the diag report and walked off. I took my key and left the building fuming.Next day I looked at the car myself and narrowed the fault down to a MAF sensor at the top of the engine. Easy to replace at a cost of £70 for the part and hey presto this fixed the fault !!I have messages RK Automotive as to my findings and surprise surprise received no response.I certainly won’t be using them again. JS Prestige and even HiQ Tamworth do a fine job. Only didn’t go their this time due to time constraints.

Took my discovery 2 in for a missfire being somewhat mechannically minded had tried to sort it myself but couldnt get it sorted took it in to rk automotive they did the work with no hasstle great friendly bunch car is spot on price was reasonable for the work they carried out too

Always exceedingly helpful and very knowledgeable about all things Land Rover. What Roy and Kim don't know about the marque could be written on the back of a postage stamp. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else. First class service. Highly recommended.

I took my Freelander2 as it had serious PAS issues, local garage told me I needed new steering rack, pump and reservoir. Visited RK went next door for bacon butty and cup of tea whilst they looked at car. Told it was merely a couple of pipes that needed changing.I left car with them to fix and owner kindly gave me lift to train station. I picked car up today having he’d PAS issues sorted, a full service and 2 new tyres and couldn’t be happier. I will never take car anywhere else they are genuine specialists who know Landrovers inside out. I cannot recommend highly enough thank you RK. Tony Webb

Hi everyone who is thinking of using Roy at RK ..I can assure you Roy and his team will go out of their way to help you in any way they can to solve a problem that you may have with your car I cannot say enough about Roy and he's knowledge of 4x4 especially Range Rovers vehicles . I am going to have some more work done through their company in the next couple of weeks ..I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone if I could give more than 5 Stars I would.

Absolutely perfect service, reasonable pricing and speedy service. Lovely lovely team of people, complete professionals dealing with classic to brand new vehicles with expertise.Highly recommend.

A poor experience, Roy seems to be the only one who can provide an update on vehicle works, excessive labour costs and no update calls received. Won't be returning, had to take my car out of this garage to another to have finishing works done and an M.O.T certificate.

I service my own vehicle but had difficulty greasing the prop shaft due to access. Booked in and completed competently. No issue with the work. Chap was nice too. But I found the cost hard to stomach. On the ramp for 30-40 mins with 50p worth of grease. £102.75. Maybe I’m naive with the cost of things mechanic wise. But I’ll certainly be making more of an effort myself next time…. Even if it takes me a whole day!
