Bury Road Multi-Storey Car Park
Basic council-run multi storey car park. In need of significant investment but does at least have new lifts, a gesture of things to come as more improvements are planned (or were pre-Covid). Generally open from 0630, in spite of advertised hours, including Sundays.CCTV has been installed but seems to have had little effect in deterring the long running ASB issues - the cameras do not appear to be monitored in any meaningful way. Local drug users/dealers often frequent the many fire exit stairwells in the block and the Lymington side lift lobby area, to the consternation of the residents of the flats upstairs who need to step through them to access their cars and homes. They are also frequently tailgated by people trying to gain access to the car park stairs after hours. This is especially distressing for children and the vulnerable and elderly. Beware of parking on the upper deck with a blue badge on display as cars have been broken into here for them. Police and the BID-funded street rangers are aware of the situation and pass through on their patrols, but once their shifts are over the problems return for the night (and early morning). The typical car park user entering and leaving via the lifts is unlikely to ever encounter any of this and deck 1 is safe enough to park up and come/go. Cheap all day parking if arriving before 10am ( £2.70 including service charge to paybyphone, or £1.45 all day Sundays, but beware of the early closure on that day - although advertised as 1715 it can stay open til 2030, but not always!

Avoid Avoid Avoid! Car park is flawed! Payment systems are flawed. It's like a trap. This car park shouldn't be operating. Please be aware of car getting locked in after 8pm!

One of the most unsafe carparks I have ever been to. Stairwell had signs of rough sleepers with cardboard and sleeping bags stacked up so could not pass. Main stairwell had sign saying not to use stairs and to use lift. Which was out of order. Felt only way out was down pitch black stairwell with my phones torch. Cheap but would not use again.

Much better than two or three years ago.Huge improvement: clean and safer with visible parking officers .Machines in working condition.Cameras in operation.Easy to park and closed overnight, which is good for your car. Please check opening/ closing hours to avoid problems ( Sunday).Lifts okay well maintained and clean inside.I was always worried about people drinking alcohol in the corner of the car park, but it seems to be sorted already.I'm using multistorey car park regularly I'm very happy.

Parked there on Saturday 20th as father had problem walking. The ticket machine not working. No signs to pay by app. Lift not working. Had to walk down stairwell that had smelled of urine. Badly maintained stairs unsafe. Passed a traffic warden on stairwell he said I had to use PaybyPhone app. No signal in car park had to go outside. The app was not working could not get correct location to pick up purple button not working. Came back got PCN £80 fine. Went to office on level one and complained guy said its nothing to do with him its was Haringey council. What should have been a £2.40 ticket turned out to be £80. Nice little scam going on. Thanks Haringey Council especially in times of covid shameful !

Stairway always so grimey and appearing as though it would benefit from a deep clean. Also faulty lights pose a safety hazard. However, always plenty of available parking.
