North 500 Motorhomes

We hired an F60 for 10nights to travel round the NC500 and Skye. The motorhome was a great size for two adults and lovely to drive on the automatic gearbox. The process for booking was really easy, pick up and drop off was quick and efficient too considering how many vans they have changing over.There were just a few areas of improvement which would make things perfect and hopefully this is constructive feedback - the motorhome wasn't cleaned outside which was disappointing, it was really muddy and the windscreen covered in bugs. We did ask for the windscreen to be cleaned which they did and we were grateful for, but before a long journey it would be nice to have done as standard. The inside also wasn't well cleaned, the bathroom sink /sides hadn't been wiped over and kitchen too, we bought some wipes to clean ourselves. The kitchen box of essentials was a lovely touch but we had a used scourer in there! A fresh scourer would have been much nicer - luckily we had packed our own. Finally, there were a few small maintenance jobs needed, the blinds were broken, shelf edging had come unstuck and the main door didn't unlock without the manual key. It might be worthwhile asking customers if they found any issues on drop off and these could be rectified very quickly for the next people.Overall a good experience and we would return but hopefully those few points can be taken on board to get the 5* service.

Really simple pick up and drop off. Local to a Tescos to pick up provisions and refuel for the drop off. Good quality van. Friendly staff, good explanation of how everything worked. Definitely recommend west coast and stop off at Lochness. Personally I would miss the East coast entirely, found a couple of gems on the east coast the steps and the waterfall which made it worthwhile in the end. Lots of beautiful scenery on the west coast, really wild.

First time hiring a motorhome in the UK and wanted to do the NC500, after a lot of searching we found North 500 and decided on the F60 as seemed perfect size for us.Good price, booking process was good, staff when phoned were helpful and friendly.Pickup and drop off was smooth and quick.Could not fault them and would recommend using them.Few pictures of the F60 at Big Sands near Gairloch and Glen Nevis site in beautiful sunshine :)

We hired an F60 from N500 in early September. The communication with the office, Beth, was nothing short of amazing. The handover covered everything we needed to know and we drove to Ullapool (Ardmair Point) where we loved the peaceful site and fantastic views. The van was fabulous and two weeks later we were able to purchase one from their surplus stock. Throughout the purchase Colin and at Handover Graham were ultra-helpful. We are so happy and would recommend N500 to anyone!

Fantastic company, fantastic adventure touring the NC500 in a brand new F60 Autotrail motorhome. It was lovely to drive and very comfortable inside. North 500 motorhomes were very helpful and went the extra mile to ensure we had a good holiday. The only thing we could have been provided with was a draining board and an extra tea towel but these were minor things and we improvised. We hired a T line 590 for our NC500 trip.All the staff were friendly and very helpful.We had a small issue with the control panel but everything was fixed to our satisfaction.We used their campsite next door on the first night and this was excellent too.We enjoyed every minute of our trip and would not hesitate to us this family run business again in the future.The T line 590 are very well equipped, with everything from a cooker, hob, shower, toilet and double bed which lowers from the ceiling.Hope to see you again sometime.Jackie and Stewart

My boyfriend and I hired a T-Line 590 for our NC500 trip, and we were absolutely thrilled with it! The handover was very detailed and first time hiring friendly. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable regarding all our questions. The motor was in immaculate condition and to top it off, it only had 6 miles on the clock when we picked it up! A perfect little home from home for our weeks adventure! Would 100% hire from here again, we will be back :)

The following review, is based on my expierence booking a Roller Stream Zefiro 675 with a friend to drive the NC500 over a six day period.Instead of renting one down in Norfolk, to drive up to Inverness, I looked to book one locally. North 500 came up, with what seemed to be good reviews and appeared to be a good service. I had hoped to book the Roller Stream Zefiro 690, my friend and i agreed this would give a fair amount of privacy and space for each of us. With dates chosen around our work commitments, I submitted the request online. 'Colin' emailed me from North 500 Motorhomes stating they had the availability, requirung a £250 booking deposit if i wanted to go ahead on the 2nd of June. On the 4th June, I got an email from 'Katie' at North 500, who informed me that they had no 690 availability for my dates, offering me a 675 instead, which offered the same bedding requirements I was looking for being described as similar models. I was happy to take this model, and made the deposit to confirm my booking. My card details were not accepted by their system, and a BCAS transfer was required. It took another 24 hours for the account team, to process my deposit. Within their process, proof of address etc was required for the booking. I was informed, this would come four weeks later. With the Roller Stream Zefiro 675 booked, I set about looking through the North 500 website for further details on the vehicle. Within the website and on their YouTube channel, their motorhomes are spotless and in pristine condition. Through the description on their website, and brief 2 minute video on YouTube, not a lot of information could be gathered on the layout and functionality. Further Google searches were required, to get a clear idea. After 4 weeks, I received the request for documentation, to be completed online, provided within 21 days of the booking. Two forms of proof of address were required for each named driver, along with photographs of drivers license and a Driver DVLA certificate. These were submitted electronically, and received by the company.While online it's stated collections are from 1400hrs onwards, I was emailed and told 1330hrs. Collections process was quicker than expected, name and reference and I was given the keys to the motorhome. I was given motorhome number 32 SY20 BUW, a Ford transit base zefiro Roller stream 675. Will, who is their mechanic and responsible for handovers gave a good run down on the vehicle, providing clear information and answering all questions asked. Of all the staff at North 500 motorhomes, Will was the most helpful encountered. Return of the vehicle was to be carried out at 1000hrs seven days later. Will was just as helpful, upon arriving to drop off the motorhome. I would very much like to thank Will for the extra mile he went to, and putting me at ease with my motorhome holiday in the Highlands of Scotland.

If you are looking for the perfect Motorhome hire company for the Nc500 this is it!This is our second time of using North500 motorhomes and we wouldn't use anyone else.The staff are polite, professional and very helpfull.The vans are lovley and clean and perfect for our trip.There is a Premier inn right next door to stay in the night before if you want to relax after the trip to Inverness before collecting your van.Also as a tip, for our last night we camp in their campsite which is next door to where you return the motorhome so you can empty waste and fill up with fresh water so there's no stress on the day of your journey home.Thanks for another wonderful holiday!!
