I'm using Gareth Webb for the sale of my house. I'm not even half way through but wanted to leave a review. From the moment I spoke with them I've received fast, clear and professional service. I'm also confident this not a one off as 3 years ago I dealt with them for the purchase of my house and received exactly the same type of service from a different colleague. 5* review all the way and I highly recommend them....Next on my list will be sorting me out with a Will :)

AVOID... Took 6 months to complete on a basic purchase with no chain, communication was diabolical and we had to send 5 or 6 emails before even getting a reply.After months of chasing we still have issues with the completion as part of it wasn't done correctly.I've now sent 3 emails with no replies over the course of approx 3 to 4 weeks. They took my money for fees and building charges etc but now I'm getting letters saying these haven't been paidWill never use this company again.

I suggest that you do NOT use this solicitor as they are extremely unprofessional. We used them to do a probate for us which included the sale of a house. I spent hours of my own time reviewing their work and correcting their mistakes. My numerous emails and telephone calls were rarely answered in a timely manner (several weeks rather than days). Documents that were handed in to the practice were misplaced. I followed their complaints process which was escalated to the office manager, who eventually answered my concerns, but indicated not much she could do as Katy was one of the practice owners. They lost the deeds to the house and when we presented evidence of them signing for the deeds, then they eventually found the deeds. They did give us a very small discount for all the mistakes made and the extra time taken; but compared to the costs of over 15,000 pounds and the loss of interest on the house sale funds, it was unfair. The process took over a year and the funds from the house sale were held for months during which time Gareth Webb solicitors benefited from the interest received. I do not know how they are still in business, do yourself a favour and avoid them.An Example of incompetence taken from Katy's emails :I can see that I had calculated this incorrectly ..... I recently purchase my first house with the help of Gareth Webb solicitor (Kay). She was amazing and answered to all my questions and processed my application within the time frame also my property was chain free. So it was completed very quickly. I personally highly recommend Kay.I heared somewhere that solicitor’s used to take lot of time and the purchase was hell. In my case my friend refereed Kay and ofcourse anyone who wants to use Gareth Webb it will be nice choice.

Fantastic conveyancing service. Part of the mad rush before the stamp duty holiday. Communication (inbound & outbound) was excellent throughout. Many team members are able to quickly find my case info quickly and effectively if my conveyancer was busy/away. Extremely friendly and thorough. Mortgage report was a nice addition to the main title report. Buying an old property, and felt no stone was left unturned. 10/10 service. Will be returning for their other legal services.

The conveyancing team were really helpful. The replied to any email queries we had within an hour or so, and worked really hard to push through the purchase of our house. Cannot recommend them enough.
