Ace Cars (St Ives) LTD

Excellent service. We have been in St Ives for a few days. We have used Ace Taxi’s 5 times including an hour trip to the airport. Very clean cars and friendly drivers and always on time. The prices are very reasonable and we would highly recommend them.

Absolutely golden! We pre-booked 24 hours in advance to get us from carbis bay tesco to st erth train station for a coach pickup first thing in the morning (train strikes being a pain in the butt). Our driver was fantastic! Didn't let us down with the time in any way in fact I think he was about 5 minutes early if anything. The man was very funny, engaging and really nice! He also double checked we did indeed have the right destination and where our coach would pull in! We had a good laugh aswell because I chose Tesco as a landmark rather than trust myself giving the right location of our BnB so we laughed that we walked to the Tesco just to go back past :PUnfortunately I didn't catch the gentleman's name, but if the company can work it out I can tell you it was a 7:15am booking (you guys politely gave me that because 7:30 wasn't possible) on Saturday 30th September and the driver said he had already done 4 jobs before us. If you can work it out please reiterate how fantastic we thought he was!

There was this one cornish gentleman with arm tattoos who picked us up from st erth and drove us to Newquay in time for us to get our national express bus. He told us stories about his fishing career and how he caught crabs and lobster off the coast. What a delightful service, a true professional *****

We were in a very difficult predicament when Matthew of Ace Taxi Cabs came to pick us up. We just learned that all the Cornwall trains were on strike and we had to get back to London to take our scheduled trip on the Eurostar to Amsterdam on that very day. He very kindly contacted the central office to see if he could drive us all the way to Plymouth where we could catch a train. He was such a kind and skillful driver. Very safe and we are immensely grateful to dear Matthew!!! And by the way, we made it on the train to London and also on the Eurostar to Amsterdam!

Hello, I was probably being a bit unfair - apologies.The driver was very nice and the ride was okay as well. They only reason why I gave such a low rating was the incredibly long waiting times even during week days - we had to wait for a taxi for over an hour. I have edited my rating.

So its another rainy day in Carbis Bay and I feel quite sheepish asking for a car to take me on a short trip to work on a groggy morning. I had a lovely driver I think her name was Debs she got me to work on time and was just a joy to chatter to. This taxi company are so friendly and reliable it really took the stress out of my days when I had to call upon them. Thankyou very much to the owner (Phil?) Stu got me a taxi on my last day when I was running out of time and the hotel I was staying at hadn't booked/confirmed my trip. You were kind enough to send a driver (during a busy period) to pick me up right away. Really appreciated. Best car firm by far.......beats everyone else hands down just by reputation alone.

After coming here for over 30 years, yesterday was the first day I had a negative experience. We were greeted by the driver complaining about the distance he had to take us. He made his feelings very well known which made us feel uncomfortable. He then dropped us away from where we had asked as there was traffic. I appreciate that the summer is busy but to make people feel awful for the journey is not fair.
