Tim was an outstanding driving instructor.I learned not only how to pass my test, but also how to drive safely and well. He was friendly andhelpful and could find solutions toproblems as well as give me all theinformation I need.

I was in my 30s when I started to learn to drive. Being dyslexic I had shied away from it as the pressure of learning things has always made it just seem too onerous.Tim put together a bespoke programme for me so that I could learn in my own way and at my own pace. He was understanding, patient, and encouraging in every lesson.I was able to pass my test on the first attempt which seemed like an impossible prospect when I first started.Simply put, I cannot recommend him enough.

Tim Martin of Sterling Driving School is an exceptional driving instructor who has never given up on me since day one. His methods of teaching include constant self reflection, identifying weaknesses in my driving and making effective and permanent improvements. These methods give me great confidence that anybody learning to drive, can have the greatest potential for a first time test pass with sterling driving school.

Tim is an excellent instructor. Really down to earth and you can talk to him really easily. if you are unsure about something don’t be afraid to ask him because he will explain it to you really easily and guide you through each step throughly. he is truly a 5 star instructor.

Tim couldn't have been a more patient, understanding and encouraging instructor. I progressed so much better with him than I did previously. He understood straight away where I was at with my driving and we progressed smoothly until I reached a point where I was able to pass my test. The difference that sets Tim apart from other instructors is he truly wants you to pass, and so he doesn't hang around giving you lessons that you don't need in order to get more out of you, and at the same time he is calm and kind and gives you time to relax if you need it before driving. He knew when to push me and when not to push me, knowing what I was capable of and when I was capable of it. And not once did he raise his voice or get angry in the moment if I did something wrong. He kept calm and we carried on.I'm so grateful I can now drive legally, sooner than I expected, and with a test result better than expected on my first test attempt. I would thoroughly recommend Tim as your instructor!

I have had several instructors over the years, but Tim is by far the best I have ever had by far.Incredibly professional, knowledgable and patient. Tim is an excellent instructor who uses very effective methods to make things easy to learn. He uses a report every session so you know exactly what to work on each time you come around to the next lesson. His calm approach allows anyone to feel comfortable behind the wheel. Excellent instructor.
