The Embankment
The Embankment is a large park area in Peterborough that extends to the River Nene on the Southern side and if often used for large-scale outdoor events, like the CAMRA Peterborough Beer Festival that I attended in August of 2023. It's ideal for events like this, and it was the nicest and best-organized marquee-based beer festival that I attended.

Google says rate this place but I know nothing about it except that's where the 2023 Peterborough Beer Festival was held and that gets the 5 star rating. So yes, large flat grassy area close to the town centre.

Came here on a day out during a sunny day in May, overall it's a nice area to be. Ducks & Swans aplenty!Can't give it a five as there's is a issue with littering here, and the pathways aren't all that clean.

We enjoyed a stroll along the river embankment. It’s changed a lot over the last few years and I must say for the better.

We went for Peterborough beer festival with live music and it was brilliant as always but the food has gone up in price quite a lot. £8 for a sausage is a bit ridiculous.

Attended the willow festival on the embankment over the weekend. Extremely well organised and an excellent mix of bands. I have been previously to the willow Festival here and can recommend this festival for a superb live music weekend. A clan of celts were just absolutely awesome on the sunday.
