Absolute TV repairs

Unfortunately, anyone can post an unfair, malicious review if a repair doesn't go the way they hoped. They can misunderstand or completely twist anything that was said, and if they are nasty enough, they can completely make up stories which never existed. Over the years, these can mount up. Every company, large and small has to suffer completely unfair accusations. If a negative review can't be verified, surely it should not be allowed to appear. Peter has been recommended by countless satisfied customers over the course of many years, and has become personal friends with numerous customers. He would like to thank them all for their continued support and loyalty.

*Absolute TV repairs* More like Absolute scam artist!I found Peter Shaw online and he arranged to come and look at my TV stating there was no cost tp check it or for the consultation.When he arrived I explained that the sound had been working but the screen had gone blank, I explained that bc I use a fire stick and had no channels tuned in I couldn't get a channel on (bc I couldn't see the screen) to show that the sound was working. He rambled on about the TV saying I should still be able to see the TV menu (how if theres no screen?) then he said it was scrap but then suddenly he changed his mind and said he needed to take it home to check if it was fixable, asking for a £30 fee to do so (he had his tool kit but didn't try to look at it at all, so much for checking the TV for free upon arrival).I started to feel really uncomfortable with him being in my home, especially when I mentioned I was into photography and he began to talk about how ppl would love to take pictures of me and how photographic I am and asking alot of personal questions about me, my boyfriend was out so being a female with a strange man in my home I didn't think it was appropriate and I thought he was extremely unprofessional and just wanted him to go!However, bc he promised to call me the following day, at lunch time to up date me I made a bank transfer for the £30 trusting he would get back in touch when he said he would.For reassurance I asked for a business card however he said he had conveniently ran out of business cards" and when I asked for his mobile number he told me he didn't use one

Faultless service. Peter has been extremely helpful and professional throughout the process of getting my TV repaired / replaced.Amazing value, and will definitely use again

My advice would be to find someone else to repair your TV. Simply, I asked Peter Shaw to fix my Panasonic TV last year and never saw it again. Really difficult to get hold of. Bitterly regret getting involved with this man.

Got Absolutes telephone number from a big local TV retailer. Called Peter from Absolute. He came promptly and has attended frequently ever since when passing, to make sure my equipment is still working well.Everything is 100%. would always recommend. Very pleased.

I live in New Milton but couldn’t find a local TV engineer to look at my 46” Samsung, or even one prepared to travel any distance without unreasonable call out charges. Eventually I found Absolute TV & Aerial repairs from Ferndown who came to me with no call out charge. The proprietor himself made an appointment to call at my home for the following day, and arrived on time. He quickly diagnosed my problem. He took the set away, and returned it 48 hours later in working perfectly. The price was right, the arrangements were right, and I was left feeling very comfortable and confident. Well worth recommending.

A terrible service from Peter Shaw, please avoid at all costs! I wanted a local experienced professional that could look over a faulty LCD screen and to at least feedback with a basic diagnosis of what/where the fault might be. I happily paid his £95 up front fee, but he was unable to diagnose. He said he could take it to a lab that was far more advanced for a further £140, I was also happy with this, but stressed that although I understand repair is unlikely, I would like a diagnosis on what/where the fault is. The screen was returned with an assumption on the fault that suggested 2/3 parts, I’m not even sure the unit was opened up. After requesting that this was narrowed down as it was not what we discussed, Peter became extremely rude and seemed to struggle reading/understanding emails. Following this I became suspicious and only then saw Google reviews, he would give no detail or evidence that anything at all had actually been done with the screen. I only wish I had seen some of his other Google reviews that sound very familiar beforehand – Please do not waste your time or money.

Peter Shaw collected our TV for repair. In case of TV being unable to repair (Peter stated that but we already chated with provider and provided agreed to exchange it as our guarantee was aprroved) we wanted to collect our TV. We said that we want our TV back and it doesn't matter what we want it back. Our TV was disposed within days without any notice and our premission in just few days, we do have a receipt that items deemed impossible for repair will be disposed of 30 days after notification unless collected, but we did not gave any approve for it and wanted to collect our TV. In a day! Finally Peter agreed he did a mistake and offered us to BUY another TV from him while we wanted to refurbish our 1.8k TV. It is not finished yet, we will take another steps as it is a break of law. I would count all that as a stealing, very very upset what just happened.

Phoned to get some help on setting up a TV, Sound box and blue ray which is basically a new installation. Instead of sending someone out to assist I was told that the equipment sounded faulty which it isn’t, it just needed setting up properly. I agreed to pay £25 call out to get help but Peter kept insisting that it was faulty equipment without even looking at the problem. He told me to go elsewhere and not tell him how to do his job, so I did. All working fine now. Would not recommend this company or this individual at all.
