Help in Hearing Henley

I cannot recommend Leon Cox and his colleagues enough. Such a professional yet friendly and caring service. After having thorough hearing tests, Leon spend time talking through the best aids for my severe hearing loss and then fine tuning my prescription to ensure I got the best sound possible. I was able to try the hearing aids in my own environment for several weeks. I never felt under pressure to buy. I am over the moon with my new hearing aids, they are powerful yet discreet. They have given me my confidence back after a year and a half of being depressed and withdrawn having to use large NHS hearing aids which lacked clarity of sound. It is expensive to go private but in my case it's the best investment I have ever made. When it comes to quality of life, the cheaper brands just don't cut it!!!! Thank you.

I just want to say a huge thank you to Amanda for her gentle and caring treatment in removing wax from my ear today (7th June ‘18). I had been in a lot of pain since a doctor at RBH tried and failed to clean my ear 3 weeks previously. Partly my fault. I hadn’t oiled my ear. A second appointment was made - for 8 weeks. The pain got worse.I was able to make an appointment at Henley within 24 hours and I was counting every one of those hours.Because of the existing pain Amanda needed to take things slowly. I walked out of the clinic after 15 minutes completely wax and pain free. It was the best £45 I have spent. Thank you very much!Wendy Stephenson

Went to have some wax removed from one ear for the first time in my life.Met with Bryan Venters who put me at ease with his charming personality.The job was painless and as a result my hearing us back to normal.The whole experience was wonderful and Bryan answered all my questions before and after the procedure in a very professional manner.Highly recommended.

Simply fantastic. I was fitted with a new pair of hearing aids about nine months ago. After six months I had a phone call to check I was happy - which I was. Today one of my hearing aids failed and Amanda managed to slot me in for a quick repair within hours of me phoning. I am delighted with my hearing aids and very impressed with the after sales service. And in case you are wondering, I have no personal connections to the practice and I rarely write a review!

It's a real pleasure to visit the Hearing Clinic. The atmosphere is super friendly and Leon does an excellent job. I've had problems with hearing aids from other clinics but this one is brilliant. You can tell that it really matters to Leon that all of his patients have the best service and he is completely focused on achieving that.

Professional and friendly service where good care is taken to diagnose and remedy. Although I visited for earwax removal, examination found another issue related to swimming. I now have a remedy following very good advice.

I have recently become aware of an increasing but subtle decline in my hearing over the last few years. After talking to friends, I decided to make an appointment with the Henley Hearing Clinic to check it out.I saw Amanda Johns for my consultation and I was subjected to various tests with the most up to date equipment, to see exactly how my hearing was standing up to old age, there was no 'hard sell', just truthful facts and it was my decision as to what I wanted.Amanda showed me on the computer screen exactly how my hearing was slowly getting worse. She confirmed that although my lower register was about 'normal' for my age, my higher register was in decline and suggested various hearing aids to improve the quality of hearing.After trailing a device I did notice there was some improvement in the upper registers but not enough to make a great difference. She couldn't have been more helpful or reassuring.Amanda showed great patience and her kindness was exemplary. She did everything for my convenience, allowing me to try out the devices, all without obligation.It seems my hearing is not quite bad enough at my present stage (I am still able to enjoy conversations with friends and family without much difficulty) but it will be only a matter of time before I will need some help.I was so impressed with Amanda's expertise and delightful, caring attitude, that I have assured her that when the time comes to 'get help' I will choose her, not only because of her ability as a professional but I trust her as a person. She kindly offered to track my progress in the future and is keeping my details on file.RB

Having been recommended this practice by my sister; I visited for two reasons. One as a general check up for my hearing now I’m nearing a certain age, and also for some problems I appear to have had with my left ear since Covid in February. Brian and Kinga were so welcoming and friendly and instantly put me at ease. Great service….many thanks
