We went in for lunch and the atmosphere was nice, staff were all lovely and the food was delicious. Our son has a food allergy and all the allergens were clearly marked in the menus so we were happy ordering food for him too. We had a great time and will definitely be back next time we visit Stratford.

Great choice of drinks and the food is incredible!! Thanks so much to the chef, he delivered it himself and came up check we were enjoying it! The price is a lot better than the pubs close to the river as well and portions are massive! Thanks so much!

Do not stay here. Emblazoned on the side of the building is Stratford's only traditional pub serving luxury" well I suppose the period Tudor details of failure to understand basic hygiene and proliferation of plague riddled insects is very accurate.The air was thick with flies when we arrived and there were two beds for a family room advertised as sleeping 4. The welcome we received was unfriendly. The place stank and was loud from the bar - of course you accept it is a pub

Came here for the Mexican food which we heard had been recently brought onboard with new ownership.The Mexican food was copious and well presented. I would have loved to have some black beans with the burrito. A bit of a strange addition was red pepper chili flakes which for me don’t make sense with Mexican food. I would expect jalapeños for sure, but not chili flakes.Update: we tried the chili beef nachos. They come loaded up with chili beef and lots of onions. You have to eat them with a fork as the nacho crisps are too small and broken to eat with your hands. I wouldn’t recommend this version of nachos.The music in the pub was great, though the tap choice was lacking a bit - evidenced by no cider available.ps - parking at Bell Court

Had the best Sunday lunch I've had in years here. I had the three meats and it was so nice! Gravy is amazing, the chef is lovely, and they sell Neck Oil. Perfect!

Small room over the bar is not very well maintained, especially for the price point. If you go to bed early, this might not be the place for you, since the bar crowd gets loud sometimes. Once they are gone, it's nice and quiet. Check out time is 10am and if you didn't hear about it at the check in, you'll hear it from the staff in the morning.

We can’t comment on the accommodation as we only drank in the bar. Lovely pub, great service and great atmosphere - we visit every time we’re staying in Stratford. Only downside this time was that we were thinking of ordering food (Saturday 16th Sept) but overheard a couple who pointed out about the chefs attire when he brought their food out from the kitchen. When we looked at him it certainly did put us off as his black apron and black tracksuit bottoms, including the back of his t-shirt, was covered in food stains and there certainly was a lot of them!Once we saw this it did put us off ordering and it’s a shame because the food did look very appetising. It was disappointing as it’s a great pub! It would make sense to have a well dressed person to bring out the food order in the future.
