If the guards spent less time on their phones and less time berating families who have paid and want to access the ferry they may get better sentiments from the public. Appalling customer service, lacking genuine investment in customer satisfaction and disinterested employees.Before I get lambasted for taking a photo, perhaps instructions your employees not to stand idly on phones that have cameras when facing customers. For all we know they're taking photos of us..

I have used this ferry service for over 15 years and it has always proved a great service. In all that time there has only been once when the boat was not running and that was due to a security incident on the Portsmouth side. Staff are always friendly and helpful. On the trip across you get great views of Portsmouth Harbour and if lucky you will also be able to see both Aircraft carriers in port. The journey only takes 10 minutes which is a lot better than the hour or so it takes to drive around. When you arrive at the Portsmouth side you get great view of HMS Warrior.

Well worth the short trip over the water, nice to see Portsmouth from the water, first crossing around 6am, last just before Midnight. Easy to use, every 15 mins and nice staff, make this an essential fun little trip to do.

On time, reliable and reasonably priced to hop over into Portsmouth (or vice versa). Good for the little as he loves boats, buses and planes (bus station right next to get terminal). There are tickets for frequent users too, monthly and yearly or bulk buying a number of trips.I would recommend this service

It's a staple part of Gosport to Portsmouth commute and quite possibly the only way to reach Portsmouth on foot without spending a lengthy amount of time. Clean, good staff, can't complain

Quick and easy, the ticket prices are expensive now (only due to increasing costs with everything else). Always greeted with a smile and a hello, and you see the folk who work here always helping those who need it.

Probably the most reliable form of transport I've ever been on. Always on time with some wonderful winds and views from the top deck on a nice day! Quickest way into Gosport and probably the cheapest at £1.70 for a return ticket. If you ride a bike you can take it onto the ferry. (4 minutes rather than 30 mins drive or a very long bus journey) Ticket counter and self-serve machines on the Gosport side and just machines on the Portsmouth side. Easy to use with clear instructions. And if one fails there's always another one!
