Ashridge Nurseries

Have used Ashridge Nurseries a number of times over the years buying a range of plants including fruit trees and larch saplings. Recently ordered a lovely potted rose. All the plants arrive in very good condition and well packed, and arrive when stated unless weather conditions caused a delay. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered for a first time and wasn’t disappointed and free postage . Ordered a thornless blackberry Merton for my friend for her birthday . It even has blackberries on and a rose for myself which is stunning and gone into a pot . Will be using again . Excellent service and e mails too . Highly recommend

I have just planted a Beech Hedge purchased from Ashridge Nurseries. I am not an expert gardener and have to say if I can do it, anyone can! The advice I received with my purchase made the whole experience easy and enjoyable, even the hedge looks happy!

Wow. I didn't know that bare root plants are meant to arrive like this. Big, beautiful, budding, lovely healthy and plentiful roots, fast delivery after packing email, really well and safely packaged, helpful plant labels. In previous years I've ordered bare root soft fruits from other companies and have just accepted that you get a bag of small twigs and have to hope they all grow (they don't). These from Ashridge were just amazing, my first experience with this nursery but certainly not my last. Thank you.

Second time I have ordered from Ashridge and thoroughly recommend. The first was for bare root roses at the beginning of the first lockdown. Delivery was speedy, considering what was happening at the time and shortage of staff. The roses all thrived during last and this years' summers. A month ago I ordered 2 large bare root trees, exceptional value for the size (larger than I had measured, bonus!) arrived well packaged with the extras I had ordered too. Healthy and sturdy and I look forward to seeing them both flourish in the garden.

Japenese Maples - Cant believe the size of the trees I received given the price. I was expecting the usual rooted branch" (from online garden centres). 1 x 3 feet and 1 x 4 feet Bare root tree worth 3x the price. Chuffed!"

Great service and super helpful. Placed a number of orders with Ashridge recently and being a new project I needed a lot of help and guidance. Dan (and Clare) have been absolutely brilliant providing advice and dealing with all my questions as well as resolving an issue in a timely and professional way. (The videos on the website are really helpful as well). All in all can’t fault the team at Ashridge, good quality products coupled with genuine customer service - Perfect, thank you.

I have had several orders from them and they always provide a good service. Plants are always of excellent quality. Don't expect a fast delivery as it can take them a month. But the product is always worth waiting for

I ordered sweet peas and Cosmos seedlings at the start of April. Got an email a month later saying that they'd had a problem with my sweet pea seedlings and they would have to sow more / would be delayed. But the rest of my order was fine. Fast forward a month later and another email saying that they are unable to fulfil my sweet pea order at all. These were for a client and had I known Ashridge couldn't have supplied them I would have sourced them somewhere else.Still no sign of my Cosmos 2 months after order placed. Finally 3 months after placing my order they turn up today. I have never even seen such pathetic seedlings - they were advertised as Maxi Plugs, these look like they've been sown in the last 2 or 3 weeks, so fragile and tiny with barely any of their true leaves or roots. Not ready to go out in the garden, will need grown on for a few weeks yet. Really disappointing.I appreciate the situation with Covid19 has made life tricky for plant nurseries but I've ordered loads of perennials & annuals from other nurseries and had much better quality / service. They must have only sown my Cosmos around 8-10 weeks after me placing the order which I think is really poor.Laughingly I received a Newsletter email telling me they now have Sweetpea seedlings for sale. And another yesterday with a voucher for £5 to spend by the end of 2020. Can't imagine me shopping here ever again.
