We brought a mobility scooter from Rapid Mobility in April 2023, we were told they would take it back as my Dad had terminal cancer and we didn't know how long he had. We went back 6 months later to be told they can't take them back. Unfortunately we'd spent £1200 on this with the understanding they would take it back!! We'd lost the paper work and asked if they had any booklets to go with this particular scooter, they said no even though they had the same make in the shop. So we sold it to a lovely old man who asked the shop again for an instruction manual, they then said no you have to bring it in for a service and we would see what we could do. And they tried to get him to buy a new battery even though my father only used it 5 times and we charged it once. We were told when we brought it, it had a new battery. Luckily for the gentleman who brought it off us, had enough reason to argue back and then they said oh, it's now charging on 90% instead of 50% which they first claimed. Not only did they lie to us about taking it back knowing the circumstances they tried making more money out of it for no reason. We will not be recommending this shop to anyone as it felt that they take advantage of any situation!!!!
