Cute pub… doggy friendly… great deals on food for tues-thurs. Live music thurs…. Good outdoor seating area, but might need the outdoor heaters for the winter

We went here today on the 14th of August 2023. the Manager, staff and Menu was wonderful we had a Sunday lunch here. They were very helpful and very nice and we will be coming back here. Well done ❤️❤️❤️

1st time for a Sunday roast. There was nothing roastie about it .no greens Yorkshire pudding wasnt cooked inside. Turkey was cold all in all was very disappointed.

Had a cracking Sunday lunch here today. This place used to be my local many years ago, it's nice what they have done with the place, had a chilled vibe. Food was great, staff friendly and a decent assortment of beers.

Nice roadside pub. Had a veggie roast here one Sunday. The roast squash was delicious and we'll flavoured with a roasted peppers. The other veg was disappointing though - overboiled and soft like your Gran likes it and with roast potatoes that are made from frozen. Could be great with a more modern approach.

Popped in for an hour and a couple of pints, waiting for the bus after a long walk through jesmond dene. Its a nice chilled pub, good outdoor sitting, didn't get food but other peoples looked good. Will go back again.

My local pub, pop in for drinks regularly and enjoy the warm atmosphere and selection. This was my first time eating here and it was great, staff as nice as ever, it’s pretty reasonably priced by gosforths standards and the roast was delicious. Particularly enjoyed the festive elements of it and it was nicely rounded off by two well presented and tasty desserts!

Had some nice food gluten-free gammon, chips, egg and pineapple for tea and shared a nice bottle of Rose wine. The staff were very helpful with their knowledge of gluten-free items on the menu and they were also very friendly. The pub itself is very comfortable and has a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be going back.

Just had the worst Christmas meal ever. We were in a group that had pre ordered our food, we were booked for 7.30 and our starters did not arrive until 8.20. The main course was like a bad school dinner with soggy roast potatoes and tasteless vegetables. My family had a festive burger which was a tiny burger with just a bit of cranberry sauce. The coffees did not arrive before we left we are not sure if the rest of the group got them. Compared to the meal last year this was so disappointing.

The outdoor seating here is lovely with a marquee up for protection. Staff are helpful and attentive. We used to love the food here but today the Food could have been a bit better for the price. Chips portions were good but the fish and burger were a bit disappointing for £9-10 a meal. Pie was nice but the vegetables were overcooked.Nice way to spend a day in the sun as the seating is south facing and the food will fill you up. Wouldn't go back just for the food though
