We enjoyed a lovely week staying at Stone Cottage; a contemporary renovation that is peaceful, warm, cosy and comfortable with outstanding views of the wonderful seascape and the Cuillins. A stay here gives a genuine feeling of 'getting away from it all'! Highly recommended!

My FAVOURITE holiday to date. A truly idyllic place with stunning views, and a beautiful house with all your needs catered for. Me and my partner didn't have a car, which was no issue at all as there's plenty to do within walking distance - including the Spar caves and Bonnie Prince Charlie's cave. Cannot recommend it enough!

In august 2022 we had a wonderful week here. The surroundings and view are absolutely breathtaking. But the cottage itself is superb! Beautiful renovated and decorated, spacious, luxurious and just perfect. It’s so nice you start hoping for the famous Skye weather (rain), so you can stay inside!

The house was exquisite. So much so, we didn't venture far during our one weeks stay. It was the perfect location, with views through the large dining area window across to the Sleat area of Skye. It's also near the Spar Cave, for the more adventurous. We wanted a luxury family cottage, and went with our 5 year old son. It was idyllic. Julian, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with from the outset and gave many helpful local areas to visit.

We stayed at Stone Cottage as a family of 4 at the end of July and we had a wonderful time!Communication with Julian was always problem-free, the description of the house and the equipment left no questions unanswered.The house does not look like a classic holiday home as it is very personal and tastefully decorated.The old main house and the small barn set diagonally to the rear were transformed into a modern, spacious accommodation through a cleverly planned extension that connects the two parts- remaining the original character! Our highlight is the large panoramic window with a view to the sea!The house has been redesigned with great personal commitment and attention to detail.We didn't mind a rainy day because we felt very comfortable in the house.Spar Cave is just a few minutes walk or climbing away and is only accessible at low tide.We took wonderful walks up to the Munro Bla Bheinn and along the coast at Elgol.And don't miss a boat trip from the harbor in Elgol!We can give a 100% recommendation for Stone Cottage if you love good architecture, wonderful landscapes with great views, exceptional hikes, nature and silence.And we think we will come back... !
