Boiler Repairs R Us

God I wish I read some reviews beforehand. These guys are a total scam and I plan to take further action against them. I literally had to call the police to get the guy to take my payment and get out of my house or I think he'd still be blabbing on nonsensically to try and stall.If anyone reading this has a boiler issue, no hot water, or some other emergency and you need someone right away, KEEP LOOKING until you find someone reliable and trustworthy because these guys are not that! They will bleed your wallet (and your water tank) dry and your £150 fix it job turns into a £2,500 nightmare. I have since found the £877.69 + VAT in parts quoted actually retail for about £210, including VAT. The engineer then had the audacity to tack on £49 in parking and £30 in congestion zone charges. I have no bloody clue where he parked as he sat in van the whole time and I don't live in the congestion zone. Their ADDRESS is in the congestion zone. Bottom line, best advice you'll ever get for a boiler repair is to look elsewhere.

Great service from the engineer! The part was expected Wednesday but arrived Tuesday evening and he came straight round and fitted it early. Was tidy and friendly and knew his stuff!!! I now have a working boiler again! Thanks so much!

I booked Boiler Repairs R Us for the people I work for as they had an issue with their boiler. The service received was absolutely awful, they diagnosed the problems incorrectly, spent time playing with the dog and then charged for this as additional time spent at the property, and quoted an obscene price. We were promised a refund upon proof of what the actual issue with the boiler was which we provided and they still refused to refund. Use at your own risk!

BEWARE, please, please avoid. These are the worst kind of 'tradesman' and utterly dishonest. No idea on being polite or treating people with respect. Take your money upfront and disappear. Then offer you time slots that are not possible and pretend the customer is at fault. THEY WILL cheat you and you will end up many £££ poorer - and still with a broken boiler. They offer a discount for 5* reviews - beware. I genuinely worry for vulnerable people they encounter. Steven Morris is not just an 'engineer' - he is the company director and works with his call centre stooge 'Simon', who is phenomenally rude and difficult. They will not refund any money even if they don't carry out the work and charge unreal rates for parts and collection - just google the part before you agree to anything and realise how cheap it is. I made a mistake here trusting them and I will pay for it - I hope to save you from it. Have reported to trading standards, action fraud and opened a small claims against them. If I can save one other family from them....

Don't trust the rating: the company offers a discount after you add a 5 star review.The service was rapid and professional though, but seemed very expensive. I don't have good benchmarks, so to state the facts it was £75 per hour and ended up costing us £2k to fix a boiler.

We were in a very dire situation, without heating and hot water for a number of days, and getting very desperate on a Saturday evening. I called this company and they were able to send an engineer over within 1 hour. He restored the heating and hot water temporarily and explained thoroughly what had to be done to fix the issue permanently, what parts needed to be procured and what the approximate cost could be. On Monday the engineer returned with the parts and did all the work and power flushing required for the installation of the new parts. We are warm again and able to wash ourselves, we couldn’t have been happier with the service and the politeness of this service provider!

Very polite, professional call handling. However, can echo all the other 1 star reviews on here, as had the very same experience. Their gas engineer turned running down the clock into a finely choreographed piece of performance art - so good, it was almost worth paying for. Dismantling every last bit of the boiler, down to the screws in the wall, then putting it all back together again, but failing, slowly and painstakingly. All to identify the fault that was indicated by the boiler’s fault code in the first place. Next came taking quotes for parts over the phone, repeating and rechecking part codes over and over again… writing up and adding up the quote old school style, then talking me through it, insistent on relaying every minute technical detail in the lexicon of boiler repair. Final flourish, 3 hours later, was when he heroically informed my astonished tenant that he had just saved said tenant from near catastrophic boiler failure. Yep, indeed, because the boiler is now left disconnected and in bits… worth every penny of theatre, but can’t shake the feeling that I have been scammed.

Absolutely horrible service. They fully misdiagnosed my boiler issue and promised us a refund, when we had another gas registered engineer come and show the correct works carried out. Once that was done, they refused to issue the refund. They said 3 parts were needed and were quoting over 1200 for them. These were not the parts needed, and when we went online, we saw they were marking up 3x. Do not use this service.

The engineer that arrived today was particularly efficient and highly informed about the issues regarding the lack of hot water and issues with the boiler. I needed a 2nd opinion and I got a highly detailed one. Am now considering taking a contract with these guys. Watch this space…
