Oooh gorgeous cocktails! The staff make the best cocktails in the best surroundings. It’s an art deco theme with parlour palms & gold pineapple lamps. Super handy for the train station

Fabulous cocktails, excellent service, and good atmosphere. We had a bit of hesitation going in as we definitely don't look like we match the percieved aristocracy of the establishment, but that quickly dissolved once we sat at the bar. The drinks are very well made and presented, and well priced (cheaper than some of the other high-quality bars), so would definitely recommend this place if you are unfamiliar with leeds and looking for somewhere fancy"."

My friend had booked the high tea here for my 30th birthday and we were sadly disappointed. The place has a fantastic decor throughout and we expected great things when looking at the website. As soon as we entered the assumed manager sat at the front desk to the left was on the phone. Not a problem, we waited a while and as she was still on the phone we quietly approached she as much as shooed us to the young girl at the bar. There was no understanding or acknowledgment that we even existed until shooing. The young girl did not know what was happening or why we came to her so she fetched a young man to deal with us. He came over and took us to our seating area, he also informed us we couldn’t sit on a table because it was for 4 people not for us as there was 2 of us. Understandable if the venue is busy and fully booked. It was not. Then we were approached by a young woman Erin I believe who came to take orders who was knew and tried her best. We saw advertised a pineapple golden rustic stand for the afternoon tea online… they don’t have this. The food came out and the beef in the sandwich was so hard to chew through (not sure if older customers would be able to get through this). There was no spoons with our trifles so we asked for some. We actually had a mixture of servers so was hard to keep up. Normally establishments like this have one server who takes care of you and then there is more incentive for a tip and good review etc and a chance to build some rapport. However, I will say Erin was great to us. When they brought our scones out at the end they were burnt we informed the young man and he apologised and brought out more, they were also over cooked and dry. We did not finish them. They apologised and gave us a latte for free as the tea was also deplorable and essentially hot water (we did let the tea leaf brew for 5-10 minutes and stirred the tea pot before pouring). The latte was made by the fabulous bartender / barista. The toilets are also very far away, so if you are disabled this may be a struggle. There are also stairs to get into the place, and stairs down to the eating part so please do bear this in mind if you are a wheelchair user or struggle with stairs. Overall, it was a somewhat disappointing experience as I was very excited to come here for my birthday.

Quiet evening, so all good.Staff was a young man, and very attentive, but not overly, although the fish was on the menu as vegan, (impossible lol). Overall, food was decent and tasty, although the sides I felt were very small for the price.

We love this place, the Sunday Roast was lovely, this is the 3rd time of having it. I had the child's Roast, there was plenty of it, we will certainly have it again,

Had roast beef Sunday lunch , no creamed horseradish sauce & very average , pink beef was raw !!! Vegetables very peppery and just warm . Severed our table After we Tried our meal was told wrong table took it away and re severed to another table !!!! I told waitress we had tried the food , nothing was done cause the new table had started eating the meal !!!! Also took an hour for our food & drink . Had a word with manager we were not charged for beef , should have had whole meal comped .. the only good thing about our experience was Pete the waiter a credit to the restaurant!!

Went for a birthday High Tea. Great ambience and attentive service. Lovely food and so many varieties of tea to chose from. Would recommend this to anyone looking for something special. However, one negative point is the use of a Service Charge. Not a great fan of this. I would rather pay a bit more than have a stealth charge. Made me not want to tip. Do question if the staff benefit from this charge?

Booked at table for High Tea. Was stood in entrance of the restaurant for at least five minutes, without being acknowledged. Had to get someone's attention who took us to our seats. We both ordered High Tea, explaining we didn't eat fish (so no prawns) after waiting at least 30, minutes, the most pathetic afternoon tea arrived. Dry, unappetising and the smallest portions! More importantly, prawns were on one of the plates. Imagine if that had been an allergy! We then had to wait another 50 mins for our sweet selection (why it didn't all come together...) the scones already had jam and cream on them and we're really chewy. The trifle wasn't set and the truffle was freezing cold in the middle! (We think all good had been chilled/frozen)Service was really poor. We weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks for our entire stay and we had to flag wait staff down. I did speak to a manager, who discounted the bill by half & offered us a free drink. I however wanted to post so people can decide for themselves before booking here.Really is a shame as The Queens previously was a delight for Afternoon Tea. It seems Grand Pacific have a lot to learn!

We had a coffee in the lounge area. It looked and smelled fantastic. Staff all friendly. Lots of lovely photo opportunities. We came back later for a drink in the bar which was another good experience. We will be back again to try the food
