I liked that we were using a local company where you could have a face to face meeting if/when necessary. Our solicitor kept us informed throughout the process, was generally quick with replying and was patient with explanations when we needed. We had a few ‘queries’ but these were soon rectified. Anya (our solicitor) was professional but also approachable and did her utmost to keep to our brief. She has made a stressful situation easier as well as achieving an outcome we would not have been able to rectify without her help. I would certainly use Slee Blackwell (Anya Hoyland) again.

Well I was disappointed. Tried to get a quote for house sale conveyancing but to no avail. Phoned a further 3 times the following week to be finally told that they were too busy to take on any extra work. I feel that I could have been told that when I first contacted them. Receptionist was very pleasant though, thank you.

Personally wouldn’t recommend Slea Blackwell Solicitors. Penny Beales represented me on a ‘no win no fee’ agreement. It was clearly a waste of time as over two years later, she then notified me that my case wouldn’t be successful. It took her two years to realise this. In the end, I contacted the defendant myself and they refunded me my money. Better than nothing but I did this on my own as my ‘solicitor’ couldn’t be bothered to take things further. Should have just done this originally myself instead of wasting my time with this firm.

The solicitors did not perform due diligence regarding ground rent arrears on a leasehold flat I was purchasing. This has led to years of back and forth with the freeholder solicitors in attempts to sort it out. The solicitors have been of no help despite my reaching out to them on several occasions. Do not recommend.

Used Slee Blackwell following a dog bite when I was warned by the plastic surgeon that there was long-term potential for complications caused by infection, so I needed to make a claim against the dog owner's insurance. Jasmine was very helpful and understanding of my needs and wishes. All through the process, she was very quick to respond and very helpful with advice.
