Blue Lagoon Warm Water Centre

Very late review: didn’t want to post closer to the time because there were so few reviews and I didn’t want to badly affect their business.We attended when they first opened so facilities weren’t all up and running (but the price didn’t reflect that).The warm water is nice but the room where the baby lessons are was echoey so I found the songs more eerie. The cafe is nice (really great local cake) and the changing rooms are heated so there was no shock going from the pool to the changing rooms. There is a probably-complete play area upstairs now which is supposed to be nice.Underwater photography had been advertised but wasn’t available when I did it. This wasn’t discussed until I emailed at the end and there was no apology.I had the class weeks wrong and missed our opportunity to make up a missed class but received no sympathy, was just told I could save the class if I signed up for another term. Due to the customer service, we stopped lessons here.

My boyfriend and I come here every Thursday evening for a lovely, warm and relaxing swim. We look forward to it every single week and the staff there are lovely. We have tried every pool and the purple pool is our favourite, love the lighting. Nice warm showers and changing rooms. I have recommended this place to so many of my colleagues as they have little ones and I think it would be perfect!

Great place to go swimming with your babies. Water is warm (it’s bath temperature) Teachers are fantastic and adapt lessons accordingly to the age, skill/level of each individual baby in the class.

Lovely warm water great staff, unfortunately it's decaying rapidly for a place that's only been open for 18 months, the doors on some of the cubicles have been broken for months, it's very damp smelling and there's always pools of water in the changing rooms, no lockers for phones etc and only communal showers.

Great staff at front desk, good value cafe with a play space upstairs.Just watch out for the child height sweets that always grabs their attention.Hope they keep making it better and better and keep on top of maintenance.

We have been 3 times now and private hired pool 1 .We love it , is so clean , warm and relaxing . The whole building is just lovely . Clean and warm changing rooms . Lovely warm showers .The cafe is very nice and you can buy tasty treats and drinks .Being able to use the pool privately has given me the confidence to go swimming again .I would recommend this pool .

Came here for the first time today and it was absolutely amazing, our little boy is only 4 months and he loved the warm water, the lighting was so relaxing and calming for him. The staff were so lovely, we were running late and they stayed open later for us to have our swim! Will definitely be back very soon it was such a lovely experience, thank you so so much ❤️

Brilliant pools and changing facilities... the lessons from I love baby swimming team have always been excellent. My one small criticism of this place is the lighting at the far end of the pool (pool 1) is a little dim and my daughter is going through a fear of the dark stage. She wouldn't go down there with me today.

1st time today. Had trouble finding it as was expecting different signs. But found it driving around twice. I think didn't help as big lorry blocking carpark. Got in shown us around . Was unsure leaving purse just in a box but said there camera everywhere. ( can take box by pool side if want ) Got in pool. Had it just to ourself for whole hour was lovely just right temperature.Showers were lovely.Changed then omg wow there danish pastry with apricot is to die for.Special opening price this week definitely be back.Only 1 thing didn't like in pool we was in there windows and people upstairs kept looking down .maybe be nice to put something there we're people can't do that.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I have only just found the Blue Lagoon & what a gem it is!! As a wheelchair user, the staff could not be more helpful. There is an accessible toilet in the reception area & a wheelchair accessible changing room opposite the Octagonal pool (where my grp had booked). The pool I used had a wall around which meant I could transfer on to the wall & then swing my legs over. There was also steps (proper stairs, not a ladder!) with a handrail.There was a shelf around the edge of the pool (under water) allowing you to sit. The pool was large enough for a swim, however, small enough to be sociable with up to 10 people. You book a time in your pool choice & it is just your grp in your pool room.The only suggestion I have is that the seat provided in the shower area is freestanding & therefore is not too safe to transfer onto from a wheelchair. Blue Lagoon could attach fold down seats to the wall in the shower area to allow for independent transfers.
