I was on a course just over the road, so perfect location, outstanding fresh fruit AND cooked breakfast, very friendly owner. Very nice small village. I'll definitely use again. Thank you.

Although we didn't spend a night there (we came there occasionally asking for a room after hiking in the Pentlands for a few days), we were driven to the next bnb. She also waited in her car in front of that bnb until our booking there was complete. Great service and 1000 thanks! 4/5 because we hadn't the opportunity to get an impression from the inside :)

This place is great. When I asked Sandra where I could buy a bottle of wine for my friend when most of the stores were closed...She actually drove me to one which she knew was open. That was over and above any B&B I have ever stayed at. The breakfast was whenever I wanted, delicious and plentiful. I would very highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the Edinburgh area without a second thought.

The Old School House
An absolutely delightful place to stay, made personal and welcoming by Sandra, she went above and beyond in so many ways. The Old School House is a beautiful historic place dating back to 1815. My room was very clean, warm and cosy. The home cooked breakfast was delicious and more than I could eat. Public transport into the city centre is very quick and convenient and the village of Colinton itself is picture perfect with wonderful local pubs and people.
