Costco Gateshead

Great place to buy food in bulk. They do great cakes and pastry.

Visited 2 days ago. Scanned the costco card using google wallet but i was told i cant buy anything unless i have a physical card. Shopping ended up with barely warm and unbaked pizza. Even renewing the membership was a problem.

My visit was quite pleasant, arrived with a space and inside was large, with expensive to cheap items in bulk. Went to the restaurant and how divine some of the foods were.

I want to say Costco is fantastic and I love the products on offer as well as most of the staff - besides the one or two having a bad day. Why three stars? The petrol station. Visited on a Monday and to say it was chaos was an understatement. It looked like Covid-times with people acting like moronic barbarians to save a couple of pence on their petrol bill.People were actively stopping other drivers trying to leave via the closest roundabout outside the station, and while this isn't Costco's fault, there needs to be a better system or more marshals on the pumps and roads to direct. Someone signalling the traffic to come and go would have prevented this insane, territorial behaviour where people would risk smashing their cars together over getting in line for petrol. Insane.Don't believe me? Just look at these pictures. Madness. I hope Costco can arrange better security or even contact the police in future. Seeing people aggressively block each other and scream inside their vehicles, while their own lone marshall just stands there taking verbal abuse, is enough to deter me from visiting in future.

Absolutely lovely staff. Great selection of goods. Some things are great bargains but some aren't bargains at all. It's worth checking online fpr the price of goods to see if its cheaper else where. Definitely worth the price of the card as the saving on petrol alone csn pay for it over the year depending on how far you travel.

I had a fantastic experience at Costco today. As always, we found an abundance of bulk bargains, with an extensive selection to choose from. The quality of their products is consistently amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making our shopping trip even more enjoyable. Costco remains a top-notch shopping destination for us!

Love Costco.. But really disappointed to discover the Family Bundle Pizza Deal is no longer being sold.. This has been a huge family favourite of ours for many years.. Saddened to not be able to buy this today..

Purchased berries on Sunday 9/3, Tuesday 9/5 they are rotten with mould, ended up going in the bin, utter waste of money, Costco this is not acceptable, could have got better at Aldi. I have photos, you will not be seeing my money ever again.

They also have a corner for tires and opticals.It also has a food shop, which offers amazing food and drinks for budget-friendly prices. The fuel prices are the cheapest I have seen around the city.

Only second time visiting this store/wholesale shop mega inside and some beautiful stuff although sometimes not very clearly marked. The only snag I find is I am disabled and use a stick but usually can walk with a trolley and I am only small in height. I know it's a wholesalers but surely they could make smaller manageable trollies for us tiny people. Positive side of things we went in a different way than last two me thanks mainly to Costco delivery van in front of us on A1 and was much quicker will use that route from now on☺️
