Granton Castle Walled Garden
I visited the garden recently and was given a tour. It is is looking good, considering they only started work from April 2017. Not easy to find it is near the gas terminal but on the other side and up a wee path. At the moment the garden dose not have toilet, they are having to await funding but it is early days and I am sure this will be dealt with in time.Park your car on the road and walk to the garden. Do not depend on sat nave for I got a taxi and we ended up all over the place.I will be watching this project with keen interest.

Such an interesting place the community garden has a long way to go but with more volunteers Im sure it's going to be beautiful .The bones are beginning to take shape and it is intriguing to learn that there was even a castle in that location .

The start of a very pleasant experience a tranquil space. Lots of effort will be required to maintain this garden supplied by volunteers. Good luck to them I hope they succeed.

Granton Castle Walled Garden
I enjoyed it but they have a lot of work to do in trying to control some elements of nature. It is unfortunate that they aren't adding to the hemlock and then make that section a poison garden as poisonous plants are interesting to look at and research.

Granton Castle Walled Garden
We were hoping to visit the Granton Walled Garden today, Sunday 21 March, and had checked on the website that it was supposed to be open from 11 am to 1 pm. However, very disappointed on arrival to find notices at the entrance saying that the Garden is now closed to visitors all the time due to Covid. It would have been helpful to have included this information on the website.

Granton Castle Walled Garden
It is a beautiful example of feeling a great sense of community. The locals have done a fantastic job preserving an exquisite piece of history. It is a rare opportunity to visit a historic garden, just a stone's throw away from a magnificent beach. The folks are very amicable and enthusiastic.
