Cantata School of Music & Performing Arts

Visited Cantata on Saturday for an open day. The staff were lovely. My daughter was enrolled on one of there courses and look forward to being tortured by her singing.

Coming as an adult with little singing experience I was quite apprehensive but after taking singing lessons for just a few months I feel so much more confident in my ability and can really see the results!Laura is a great teacher and really helps to put you at ease and feel relaxed singing. I look forward to my lesson every week!

My three daughters all attend Cantata for piano and my eldest daughter also does singing. They enjoy the lesson and have learnt so much building grades and building confidence.

Laura and the staff at Cantata have been teaching both my girls aged 12 & 10 for many years from Mini Glee through to singing and instrumentals. I can safely say that Laura is passionate and charismatic and her love for music and her students is infectious. Her lessons are always fun, imaginative and creative, instilling confidence in both of my children, encouraging and motivating them to do their best and to learn the practical skills in music theatre, whilst performing with energy and excitement. Laura's influence transcends music and I can see how much Laura has impacted and shaped my girls. Their confidence is continually growing and I can’t thank or recommend Cantata highly enough.

My daughter has attended Cantata for the past 5 years. Initially she joined the Saturday morning Glee Club where she enjoyed fun activities, singing, dancing and drama sessions.She now attends singing lessons and is working towards her grade 8 exam. Cantata staff nurture their pupils, genuinely care about them and help shape them into confident young adults. I can’t recommend Cantata highly enough. The music school is a great asset to have locally and I hope it goes from strength to strength.

I started to learn piano a few years ago as an adult. I would not have many qualifications to my name but I just done my grade 3 piano exam a couple of weeks ago, thanks to the patients of brilliant piano teachers.One of the main things that I love about Cantata, is that you are not just a number to them, you are so much more, no matter what age you are.

My daughter, Caitlin, takes guitar & singing lessons. She just loves going to her lessons at Cantata. Her tutors are very encouraging, helpful & knowledgeable. All the staff are very friendly & approachable. Online lessons during lockdown were well organised & executed, something to look forward to each week.

After looking around for a piano tutor, I'm delighted we chose Cantata! I can't speak highly enough about the staff in their professionalism and passion to see the pupils succeed on their musical journey! My daughter has developed an excellent rapport with her piano tutor and she is progressing through the Grades at a faster rate than I expected. Most importantly, she is growing a love for playing the piano which makes the experience enjoyable!
