Nice from the outside,but the place is freezing,and the front door is broken,cocktails look very nice.

Monk bar is by far the best bar in matlock for it's cocktails and food. There is always a nice atmosphere when in monk bar and the staff are all really friendly and the service is great.

Pleasant atmosphere with great staff making tasty cocktails. Also good at adapting cocktails into alcohol-free ones. Quite often 2 for 1 when we've been.

Nice chilled atmosphere, fresh crisp pint of Peroni at a respectable cost of £5.40.Barmaid was very friendly and courteous.Will definitely be coming back

Excellent service. First bar I've been in where they chill your wine glass with ice before pouring. Good 'beer' garden which has music. Best accessed via public footpath rather than negotiating the stairs at the back.
