App doesn't work when downloaded - couldn't find location on the app. Ticket machine says it accepts card payment, but doesn't work - only accepts cash.. Finally had to call MiPermit, who said you can't pay by the app unless you have an account, so had to pay by card over the phone & then had to pay an extra 'convenience fee' for the 'inconvenience' of having to pay over the phone because the system / ticket machine doesn't work.. finally have to pay extra for a high emissions vehicle! It seems Bath is actively trying to discourage visitors. Perhaps if the carpark can swop over to a decent parking app like Ringo or PayByPhone?

I had to install yet another parking App in order to pay online as the ticket machine was cash only. Also do see why you get a convenience fee added to the parking charge for paying online through the App. Surely it costs money to empty the ticket and pay the cash into a bank. So why apply a surcharge one method of payment and not the other?

It was a well constructed car park, allocation size was adequate, sign posts plentiful, tarmac uniform. Multilayered with inclusive barriers for safety. Very popular with car drivers, maybe even too popular some might think with the volume of cars parked there, luckily, I know how to park in carparks- even when they're heaving. All in all deserving of top marks- Sadly not, it's pay as you go and worse still run by one of those carpark collecting companies, cameras everywhere eagerly hunting ticket time defaulters down to the second. Parasites feeding on Britain's smiles day in and day out. Only 4 stars for you. Funny I always thought it would feel good to post that, instead I just feel nervous. If there's a knock at the door tonight I'll be shaking like an epileptic with Parkinson's that's bursting for the loo.

Very convenient if you want to walk around the city. The secret is: arrive as early as you can (we parked the car around 8:45 AM on a Saturday) to have a smooth parking experience.

Good size car park in the Bath town centre, can get very busy at the weekends though

The crucial features of a car park are being able to park your car there, and being able to pay easily so that you don't get fined. Avon Street is not particularly good at either of these things. It's much less grotty since they removed the tired old multi-storey, but consequently also has far fewer spaces, such that most of the time when you arrive you'll see people circling around waiting for someone to leave. That can't be great for emissions. Unfortunately it remains the most accessible car park for people entering Bath from the East and looking to visit the city centre, Southgate, and the Bristol/Bath cycle path.

Decent sized car park located centrally in Bath. £15.40 for a full day so not horrendous for price. Often it is full so you're taking your chances when driving into town. I usually get luckybut sometimes not. Discounted parking for low emission vehicles.

Better signage needed regarding payment for parking. 6 people stood around the sign trying to figure out how to pay with a debit card. I ended up having to ring the helpline number and pay over the phone as the app didn't work. It was only when we walked through the carpark to the entrance/exit we saw a ticket machine. There was no mention of a ticket machine on the huge signs telling people to pay using the app. I wonder why

It's a carpark, you can park your car there.Option to either pay at the onsite machines dotted around, either cash or card. Or you can pay via the MiPermit app which charges you an extra 10p for the luxury of not having to walk to a ticket machine.Payments are expensive, but it's very close to the city centre, beware higher emission cars get charged more.
