Had the most amazing Pork Loin on Christmas Day which the family loved. Thank you for the recommendation for this cut of meat with the best Pork crackling.

Was told of this establishment whilst on Twitter. My local butcher had recently closed down and I'm not keen on supermarket meat so was looking for a genuine old fashioned butcher. Anyway this place is fairly local to me so I went and gave it go. The owner, Andrew I think his name is, was very helpful and was only too willing to discuss cuts of meat and preparation and cooking options. The meat itself, I had steaks, lamb and pork, along with some bacon and homemade sausage, was all excellent. Very tasty and with no excessive fat. I've since been back again and the quality was still excellent. So if you like old fashioned good service with good quality meat, then I suggest you give them a try. One thing to note is there opening times. They open early at 7.30am and close at 2pm.

I called to ask if they sold biltong (as Christmas present for a colleague) and was told yes, there is and will be plenty when I get there the next morning. So I drive 10 miles through Nottingham morning traffic, get there, only to be told NO, THEY DON'T SELL BILTONG. Wasted my time and a wasted round trip of 20 miles.

Always good quality products and their home made potted beef is superb.The staff know their products and are highly knowledgeable, friendly but very professional.

I have just moved to the area and I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff are SO lovely and are always willing to help. The cobs are very fresh and tasty and very reasonably priced and the cakes are delicious. My new guilty lunch pleasure whilst working from home! I haven't tried the meat yet but it has also come highly recommended!

Quality products at a fair price always friendly and helpfull staff .in 10 years ive never had to complain about any of the products or the staff
