Lucy Hubbard and her team have been really amazing and supportive since day 1. She helped me a lot on finding TA jobs within primary school setting locally. She is always ready to listen if there is any concern or issue at work and take necessary steps to solve it. I would definitely recommend Academics to all teachers / teaching assistants out there who wants to gain more experiences and get paid at the same time.

I have been for interviews for academics twice now and on both occasions the agency has messed me around in regard to references ( on both occasions they were furnished with several) and yet somehow did not manage to contact anyone successfully bar another agency. Would not recommend at this point in time

As an international professional teacher, I had some teaching experiences back home but needed an agency that can provide me the opportunity to gather UK experience.My coming to Academics in Hull in February 2023, was a fulfilment of my desire. I have worked for Academics as a teaching assistant for a few months now and I have had work every day. I am newly qualified and I have gained so much experience from working with Academics as I am able to work in all year groups from early years to year 6 and also 1-1 with children in many different schools.There's a lot of opportunity for short term or long term work in schools.Communication and friendliness with Lucy is amazing and she is very supportive, Lucy always checks in with me to make sure I've had a lovely day. I have worked for Academics now for several years and I would recommend them to anybody wanting the find work in the education sector. Lucy and the team at Hull Academics are professional, friendly, approachable and understanding. Their communication is excellent and they always make time to listen to any queries or questions. They work hard to ensure they are finding assignments which meet the workers needs. They have been supportive and understanding of how much I am able to work around childcare and strived to find assignments which match my availability.

Academics is the best agency to work for if you are looking to venture into teaching. I have been working Academics since Nov 2022 and I have always been booked. There are many reasons why you should choose them.1 Clearing: Academics are effecient when it comes to getting you cleared to work. I did my DBS with them and it took me only one week to get my DBS. They make sure that your file is complete before starting work. The process of getting cleared can be daunting, but they are consistent and always chase up references and try their best to get you to work as soon as possible.2 Inclusivity: As an international teacher, I felt as welcomed as any other local teachers. Academics are very inclusive. They acknowledge your international experience and do not discriminate. They make sure that every teacher regardless of their race are working. This is amazing!3 Getting booked: Since working for Academics, I have always been booked. Sometimes I have to ask for assignments, but they always make sure that they have something for me. They do their best to get teachers job.4 Lovely team: Academics consist of a lovely team of people. Emily is a great admin and she helped me a lot through my clearing process. Linda and Lucy always keep me booked, and Connie made the clearning process easy.I highly recommend Academics for anyone interested in kickstarting their teaching career in England.
