Scottish Power

Took an account out with scottish power, got charged 100s of pounds, they supplied the wrong house then closed my account because I refused to pay them. Called multiple times to fix issue, phone operators impatient and unhelpful even after I sent them pictures of my meter. Now down 100s of pounds for no gas. Avoid this company like the plague, honestly one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.

Absolutely appalling! Countless hours on the telephone and no one can help. We've been ping-ponged from one department to another - the only thing we've asked is for them to send someone to replace our prepayment gas meter battery. Turns out they can't do that unless we have an account. To create an account they send us to a line that hung up on us 5 times. The account couldn't be created initially because our address is not in their data-base (the only one in this block of flats?!). After finally creating an account they said they would send someone within 4 hours. 6 hours passed and when we called again...turns out no account was created.Did I mention it's February, we're freezing, we can't cook food or have a shower? Not that they care...

If I could give 0 stars I would. Massive scammers in all ways and so hard to contact in order to resolve a problem therefore it doesn’t get solved.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my whole life. Its like talking to a robot, they ignore all of your questions and just read a script at you. I had to talk to them to help a friend because of their disgusting scare tactics, they are currently still trying to charge her for a meter that doesn't exist in her house and was removed by them 3 years prior to her moving in. I spoke to one of their customer service agents this morning and am still furious 8 hours later!

Absolute joke of a company. Makes up charges. Different answers from different support members. Get hung up on a lot. Whole company have no clue. Really disappointing.Will be moving energy company asap. Avoid at all costs

WARNING. If you want an energy supplier that you have to queue for an hour to speak to someone on the phone who has no idea how to resolve customer queries, then look no further than Scottish Power.I have spent over 30 hours of my life on the phone to them since I purchased my property in 2021. The property had a prepayment meter and after Scottish power set up my accounts incorrectly when I moved in I was left with no credit in the meter and no ability to top it up during the winter. Immediately after this issue was resolved my gas meter 'stopped communicating with their systems' and I was told there was no solution as it was a network problem, therefore my account could not be switched from prepayment to direct debit. After the complaint I put in was not dealt with appropriately, the energy ombudsman said they no longer handled individual complaints with energy companies"

DO NOT USE SCOTTISH POWER. Without a doubt the worst company ever. Constantly overcharging, lying about it, giving you absolutely no recourse. Hung up on me TWICE when I tried to call. Absolutely horrible customer service. Avoid at all costs.

SHAME ON YOU!!! there's a special place in hell for everyone who supports, works at or endorses this filthy company. been taking advantage of my 62 year old mother who barely speaks english for over 2 years. their meter conveniently stopped working during the pandemic and now they want to charge her a bill of £1200 despite the fact she's been consistently adding credit to her prepayment meter. I really really hope you go bankrupt

This company make wanna make me pay 1400£ bill for prepayment meter. I never had any debt on it. After 3 month fighting whith them by official emails i get my account sorted with 151£ woucher with refund. Of course they been wrong. CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT ASAP IF U STILL THERE.

Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. Can’t understand or hear anything that advisor is saying she completely messed the account up and we’re now getting charged all the wrong bills, they don’t listen to what you’re actually saying and just follow a script. We had one helpful lady one time but apart from that they are absolutely atrocious.
