Visited the Newark Houses Museum recently and had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the visit even more enjoyable. The museum itself is truly impressive with its extensive collection and informative displays. I was amazed by the variety of exhibits that showcased the rich history of the area. The attention to detail in each section was evident, and it's clear that a lot of effort has been put into creating an engaging and educational experience for visitors. Kudos to the staff for their warm hospitality and to the museum for providing such a well-curated and extensive journey through history. Highly recommend a visit to anyone curious about the past and eager to explore the local heritage!

This was a nice place to visit with an eclectic collection of things to see from Leicester's past. From toys to collections of donated war medals and stories, every room held my attention.I wasn't ready for the replica 1950s street in the middle of it though, done really well and makes you pause in surprise. It's child friendly, free(you can donate to support them), has toilets and a very nice garden to enjoy.

Stumbled across this place when doing a tour of a walking tour of Leicester City was really interesting, especially the recreation of the local streets shops, and loved learning about the heaviest man in Britain. temporary exhibition of shoes was also there. Which brought back many memories for my mother. Though. She couldn't find any winkle pickers, a little gem, and definitely worth a visit. The history of the building was also really interesting. So make sure you read the plaques on the wall.

A hidden gem opposite De Montfort University and only a 10min walk from Leicester City Centre. Highly recommended - gives a history of the trades and companies that used to be in the city, the Ugandan immigration story, and the military connections incl. a mock-up of a WW1 trench.

Am amazing place to visit! We spent a couple of hours here (children aged 7 and 4). They have multiple 'treasure hunts' set up around the museum keeping the children interested as we went around. The gardens are beautiful and the Toys Through Time exhibition is fantastic!
