Cozy restaurant serves authentic Japanese cuisine in Bristol city Centre.Staff was friendly. Food was delicious, consistent and reasonably priced with huge range of choices. Everything was really delicious. Sashimi was fresh.I would recommend for anyone looking for an authentic taste of Japan in Bristol!

We visited Niji Sushi this past Sunday and had the most delicious lunch. We ordered a chef's selection of nigiri, chicken katsu curry, and a banana katsu with chestnut and black sesame ice cream. All the fish was very fresh, the rice perfectly cooked, and the katsu chicken was so crunchy outside and juicy inside. The restaurant decor is beautifully done with great attention to every detail, and the staff provided excellent service. We can't wait to come back to try more of the menu!

Best sushis I’ve had in the UK! Comparable to the really nice ones I had in Japan! Great value for money, big portions, very fresh, high quality seafood - the seared salmon, tuna, surf clam and soft shell crab are amazing!

What a lovely little sushi place. Everything was so fresh and tasty. They even had a medium fatty tuna on the menu, so delicious. The food came out looking ready for a magazine, presentation was perfect. And the service was exceptional. Really wanting to ensure everything was good and they clearly take pride in their food and their restaurant.Felt quite authentically Japanese too sat at the counter, food coming over directly from the itamae.Really enjoyed it here and will be back next time I’m in Bristol for sure.

The food here was amazing! Ingredients was really fresh! They make the kimchi in house which went super well with the eel set! The portions may not look big but it's really filling☺️ The seafood was really delicious and sweet (sign of freshness). The chicken karage is a must get so juicy! Defo coming again!

A very authentic Japanese sushi bar with fantastic quality food. You can taste the difference in the ingredients that they use when compared to somewhere like Itsu down the road.Service is quick and friendly even if unfamiliar with the menu.Update: They have now included a pork ramen on the menu with choice of noodles, I have included a picture for those interested.

I tried this place for the first time to say and I’m really impressed. It is in a bit of an odd location in the Galleries so the hours are more restricted, but I highly recommend paying Niji a visit. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, I appreciated how helpful they were. The menu has the right amount of variety so you’re not totally bogged down in choices which also lets them have very fresh produce and ingredients - the quality of the fish was incredible. Every item was so beautifully presented and also was delicious. I would say this is the best sushi I’ve had in the UK (though I have not been anywhere truly expensive)Prices are reasonable and comparable to other places in Bristol. I think I paid about £25 for everything pictured: the Niji roll (I’ve not had that kind of salmon avocado roll with the tamagoyaki in it, it’s so good, and I really liked the cucumber!), the salmon belly sashimi (cut in such a lovely way to eat and super fresh), one seared crab stick sushi and one seared salmon sushi (if you haven’t tried seared sushi before you are MISSING OUT), and finally we ordered one hot item, takoyaki. The texture of the takoyaki was perfect - very light crispy outside with the soft and delightful inside. Please consider coming to this new restaurant I enjoyed it so much I want it to stay open for a long time!

We went on Saturday and the food was fantastic! The salmon nigiri was so nice that my two children had 10 pieces each! We had some other rolls and sashimi as well. The chutoro nigiri was awesome. It melted on my tongue. The veggie tempura set was great as well - sweet potato temoura was my favourite. We were too late to arrive, and ramen had already sold out. They said they could only supply ten portions per day to keep things fresh. What a shame. We will be back and book our noodles in advance for sure!
