Alex did an excellent job to repair my son's violin which was passed down from a friend's family. It took about two weeks to finish the repair, but Alex kindly lent one of his excellent quality violins to my son for practice for his end-of-year Prom concert. His price is so reasonable and Alex would explain every single cost has been spent. Once we have got back the violin, my son was just so happy as it came alive again. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs any strings instrument repair. He is so knowledgeable. Need to support more genuine, professional, independent local trader. and don't get rip off by the big brand shop. I will definitely go back to him if I have any need again.

Just collected a repaired violin. Excellent job. A number of problems fixed in addition to the ones I knew about. This old instrument is like new.

Alex did a superb job of replacing my sound post and bridge noticeably improving the tone, re-hairing two bows and re-conditioning my finger board. It plays beautifully now. Lovely chap, reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

I emailed Alex about my cello and got a reply very quickly. He had time available in the next two days.The workshop in his house was quirky and he helped me out a lot with a very reasonable price. Would recommend.

Alex was very welcoming and answered all my (and my parents') questions. He explained details about the violin I was going to buy very well and he chose a great one for me. Reasonable prices for not just the violin but also the accessories. Would definitely recommend!!

Alex is a wonderful luthier and a lovely person to deal with, he really understands how to make an instrument speak at its best. He did some sound adjustments on my cello as well as some work on the fingerboard and I'm very happy with the result and will definitely return in future. Thanks Alex!
