Took my son in for a haircut. He's two and diagnosed ASD. He had his 1st haircut here a little over a year ago. Met by Martin as I entered, we were a little early and he let us go in straight away.My son was not in the mood for a haircut, nothing to do with the place, just having a crying session. Martin was incredibly patient and professional with him, very accommodating and did his best to put my boy at ease.Boy came out waving goodbye and saying thank you even when he was still emotional and I just want to thank Martin for being top class in a difficult situation.Definitely coming back here for future cuts.

Absolutely brilliant, patient, friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Will adjust to the needs of the child.Perfect for children with additional needs.

Great first haircut for my son, understanding and not rushed. Martin listened to what my son would like and what he was comfortable with. Highly recommended.

What a lovely little place, a gem.. tucked away just near Northgate's shop parade.I couldn't have asked for a better hair cut for my 1 y/o son, it was his first hair cut bless him and he seemed like he rather enjoyed it!What a great place.. amazing customer service, team are friendly, a nice atmosphere, lovely cut & a perfect place for my son to continue his hair journey.Oh and.. random one really.. but..I'm quite a spiritual person and I get a strong vibe from this place/the people in it. I felt an overwhelming positive feeling, not sure why, but I did. (Good energy vibes) just thought I'd add that one in :)That being said, I'll definitely be returning whenever my son needs a cut.

Appointment with Niki who was absolutely first class. This was my first visit and will certainly be returning. Nikki’s attention to detail was excellent and took great care in ensuring everything was perfect.

Lovely little barbers!They were so patient with my 2 year old. They have a little car for them to sit and he sat happily watching Ben and Holly on the TV.Very friendly and welcoming and will definitely be using them again.

Has Martin cut my boys hair. Lovely guy and was great with my toddler. Totally recommend to anyone with young children. Will definitely be back

Great experience! It was the first time using Fred’s and for my 2 year old son’s first ever hair cut. The team were extremely friendly and made his (and our) experience completely stress free. They have a selection of toys for little ones as well as a cool car seat for them to sit in whilst they enjoy some TV. Served as a great distraction for my little boy who is naturally very active and sometimes rather fussy. We’ll definitely be returning! They’re based around the back of another salon so although a little tricky to find at first but one of the team members gave great directions for us. Thanks again guys!
