Right on the river, you can launch from here if you want, plus there is a small boat ferry to the other side that will give you access to the Riverside walk into it away from Chester. We were there in September so it was pretty quiet, I'd guess it is busy on the warm summer days.

Good car park with boat launch ramp access to the river. It's free for up to 4 hours and is locked overnight from 10pm until 7am.
