Plum Tree Farm - Dining & Carvery
We use this pub frequently and we're a big fan of the carvery and cakeaway. Recently, we got married and asked these guys to make our wedding cake. We had a tonne left over and it even freezes and defrosts well! Staff can be hard to pin down, but are all very helpful when you can grab them. Full cakes are very affordable, if you're catering for a special event- thoroughly recommend.

Food good whether carvery or off the menu. Service a bit hit and miss but the manager always friendly. 3rd visit here and Michael Parkinson on carvery first night was great and friendly as was the staff on second. This visit the guy taking order at the bar was dismissive, didn’t listen, put order through incorrectly forgot to give some of the order and the carvery ticket. I know it’s busy on a Saturday night but it’s hospitality. Will I use again? Yes but probably mid week.

We went for sunday carvery buffet and filled our plates...the staff was helpful and friendly the turkey, yorkies, veg, mash and cauliflower cheese was lovely...the bad points was the stuffing under cooked and sloppy the roast potatoes didn't look pleasing and wasn't edible(undercooked, dry) but other than that we would come again :-)

It was a typical Sunday for a carvery . Its my first visit and we went on recommendation.It was very busy and we had to wait 15 mins for a table. Not sure if this was typical but it was the first Sunday after payday. The queue for the carvery had about 20 people before us and we were dealt with in a timely manner. Meat was good Ham Turkey and Beef. The veg was varied and plentiful with the gravy and condiments at the end.The veg was cooked well and not soggy if only lukewarm despite the heaters.On the whole a nice experience and you can tell by my plate I left with a full tum.Will use again thank you

We had never been to one of your restaurants before, having always frequented another well known carvery, so apart from the carvery we didn’t know what to expect! We weren’t disappointed! Reasonable price, great food, meats were amazing, veg was soft but not over cooked, the cheesyest cauliflower cheese!! The main carvery guy carried a plate of dinner to a table for a lady sat near us which I thought was really kind. As we were staying next door, the next night we returned for drinks and the yummiest cake we’ve ever had!! Again great experience and we would absolutely return!!

Dined here Friday evening aswell as Saturday evening as stayed in hotel attached for the weekend. Food and desserts was tiptop on both evenings, staff was very polite and the homemade cakes to takeaway where just out of this world.

Just been served an all day breakfast with runny white !!! Yuck !!! Never again . Had to discard them .. put me right off . Who in their right mind serves snotty eggs ? See how much I had to leave because it turned my stomach ... now normally you get mithered here asking if everything is alright etc ... today.. nothing , its not even that busy .
